                                                                                          ~~~College~~~
My schedule's a little open since I had my time after class as my shift with Laura, but that Tuesday night, we asked our friend, Trish, to cover for us since we were headed to the airport. Why? We were off to the airport because we were picking up Alex, who was arriving from Seattle. Apparently, he took a leave from work, and I guess his dad took over for the moment. I didn't really know why, and I wasn't about to ask Alex. Anyway, Laura and I were in the kitchen area of our loft waiting for Harvey to arrive.
"Are you sure you wanna come?" Laura asked while she reached into the fridge and grabbed some sodas.
"Sure, I don't mind." I was a bit neutral, sitting across her from the table. "I'm with Ken now, and the thing Alex and I had is in the past."
"Wow, that's new." She teased as she opened the soda cans and slid one over to me. "So, how does Ken feel about your ex-boyfriend moving in the loft with us?"
"He doesn't know." I replied.
"Ken doesn't know you'll be living with the guy you had sex with and pined over for weeks?" somehow, Laura found that funny. I thought she was probably up to something.
"Hey! Alex and I only had sex once, and that was when he was drunk in High School."
"Yeah, I know." She said with a sexy tone. "Nick told me... But you know, the lesser sex you have with a boyfriend, the more reason you have a connection. I read it somewhere."
"Look at you, Psychology major!" I laughed. Somehow, Laura has picked up quite some weird shit because of her classes while I was stuck in Business classes. "When did you become so poetic?"
"Yeah. We've been reading too many weird poetries and books. I guess the Liberal Arts is a totally different world." She rested her arms on the table as she took sips from her can.
"I don't really know what to do about Ken and Alex." I said out of the blue, then Laura looked at me with that smile again, the one she does when she's about to say something sexy.
"Doesn't Alex know you have a new boyfriend now?"
"No." I sipped. "I haven't talked to him since... that."
"Oh, when you broke up with him over text, and he didn't call you back?" she laughed.
"I hate it when you know too many embarrassing stuff about me." I said. "Anyway, Ken's not gonna make it to the airport, so we're just waiting for Harvey here."
"Why not?"
"He's got the newspaper thing." I replied. By the way, Ken is my new boyfriend. Not too attached, but I really liked him. He was one of those setups by Laura, and we hooked up a couple of times. At first, we just settled to be fuck buddies, and we had sex constantly for fun and to kill time. Laura also found it an effective way for moving on, I guess. Anyway, I really took a liking at his personality, so I asked if we could be an official couple, and he said he didn't really want anything that's into too much commitment, but I just wanted a label, so I guess he didn't care. He just said yes, but we're not supposed to be too clingy, and that's how I wanted it.
Ken worked for the photography in the school paper. I didn't know they actually pay students to work, but he's really good at it, and he makes a nice stable student life with that.
