After Jake's words sunk in, I couldn't help myself. While Laura and Harvey were slowly cuddling on the couch, I made my way and snuck into Alex's room. There, I saw him while he was packing his stuff onto his luggage. He stopped as soon as he saw me.
"Hey, Liyah." He greeted. I was swallowed into the warm dream of his eyes. I couldn't help but smile and try to be cute.
"Hi, Alex." I said as I rested my back on his door.
"What's up?"
"Hey, uh..." I stuttered at first. "Can I ask how long are you going to be gone?"
"I don't know." He replied, giving me his most sincere look. I couldn't help but feel the heat from my body. "But I can fly in to New Jersey a lot more often if you'd like."
"Alex..." I shook my head as I smiled at him. "It's okay. You can take as much time as you want. I'll be here."
"It scares me, you know?" He said. "I don't want to lose you again the way I did before."
"You never lost me, Alex." I slowly reached for the switch of the light bulb, and I turned it off. I watched as Alex's eyes glittered with the moon.
I slowly walked to Alex, and he just stood there. I could feel myself taking control. I placed my hands on his stomach, and I slid them all the way up as I hung up to his neck. He slid his hands down and wrapped his arms around my waist, and we kissed. It felt like I was swimming around the stars as I could feel hands stretching and gripping me further. I moved my hands behind his ears as we stopped.
"I'm sorry." I started to tear up. "We're not together. I can't do this."
"Why not?" He sounded desperate, but I wanted it that way, the way it melted my heart. He held me tight as we had our little talk. "Why wait? We can do this long distance relationship. I promise I'll be more attentive."
"Alex..." I held his cheeks as I smiled. "It's easier this way. It's easier to wait if we're not together, but I promise I'll be here when you get back."
"It's going to be hard to wait... so hard."
"I know." I said, gazing right into his glitter eyes. "I think about it now, and it hurts me like a bitch... but if Jake can wait this long for Sam, so can we."
"Okay..." he whispered with a smile. "I don't want to think about tomorrow. Can I think about you tonight?"
"You don't have to. I'll be beside you tonight." I whispered back, and I looked at his face that looked even sexier in the dark.
I reached down, and I slowly started to unbutton his shirt, and he reached to the back of my shirt, and he pulled it off my body until I was topless with only a bra. He couldn't wait and pulled his shirt off the buttons. We started kissing again and grabbing each other... aggressively. Then, he reached down to my legs, and he carried me to his bed.
"Alex!" I shrieked in complete surprise but somewhat enjoying his urge. He laid down his bed as he got on top of me. And we made love under the moonlight...
It was a magical night. I knew it was going to be hard when Alex would leave, but at least we had our night. About five o'clock in the morning, I was awakened by the loud alarm tone from Alex's phone. I slowly got awake, and I realized Alex's arm was wrapped around my waist, and I was holding his hand. Our naked bodies were covered by the thin blanket, and Alex was definitely having the 'morning'. I turned to Alex, and I held his warm face as he slowly awakened. He looked super cute when waking up.
"Hey, good morning." I said.
"Good morning." He smiled as soon as he saw me. "I love the few times I woke up to see you."
