The next morning didn't come too long. Laura, Harvey, and I were having breakfast in the kitchen while Alex was still sleeping. In about 30 minutes, we were supposed to be leaving for our shift, so we had already showered and all.

"Why is Alex still not awake?" Laura asked me while we were eating. "Did you guys have sex?"

"Oh, come on Laura." I said, and she smirked at me. "You can't make those jokes anymore. I'm trying to eradicate the whole awkward vibe between me and Alex, plus I can't have Ken hear that."

"Speaking of Ken, don't you have that whole survey thing you have to do with Ken for the school article?" Harvey asked.

"Yep." I replied. "I'm headed to school after my shift for the article and to enroll for summer classes. Please cover for me Laura."

"Okay. You owe me."

Alex went out of his room, and he looked like he had just woken up. He had changed his shirt from last night, and he was wearing this short-short. It turned me on a bit as he came to us. I tried to look away because I just got really curious with the whole morning thing guys have. For Harvey, I didn't care that much, but for Alex, I was feeling really turned on.

"Morning." He said as he walked to us.

"Morning, Alex!" Laura said.

"Hey, man. Good morning." Harvey followed. Alex turned to me probably because I was the only one who didn't greet good morning. I looked at him, and I got a bit nervous. I swallowed.

"Morning." I said to him with a thin voice, and he smiled at me. I didn't know what to say. His smile was intoxicating me. I just said whatever came to my mind. "We've got a shift today."

"Okay." He nodded. "I'm headed to the University later. I've got the whole enrolling thing for the summer. Liyah, you're gonna take summer classes, right? You can enroll with me!"

"Yeah." I had a hard time nodding without me having to stare at his bottom. "Sure. Why not?"

"Hey, Alex, we made some eggs for you." Laura said. "I cook for everyone here."

"Oh thanks, Laura." He replied as he was stepping back to the bathroom. "I'm just gonna go freshen up."

"We should probably get going, Laura." I had a hard time breathing again. I just wanted to avoid seeing Alex take a shower or something. "We're gonna be late."

"We still have like..." Laura looked at her watch. "Twenty five minutes!"

"There's that whole accident thing down the street. It's gonna be hella' traffic." I lied.

"Really?" Laura bought it. "Is it bad?"

"Yeah." I rushed to get my stuff and go. "I'll get the car. Harvey, can you clean our dishes?"

"Sure." He replied. "Drive safe... I guess."

"Hey, wait!" Laura tried to catch up to me, so she didn't finish her food.

Laura and I got into my car in the parking lot, and as soon as she got in, I didn't start the car. I just rested my head on the wheel in frustration. Laura sat right next to me, and she was weirded out by my behavior.

"Ugh!" I yelled in complete frustration. "I can't do this!"

"Liyah..." she was weirded out. "What's going on with you? Are you having your period?"

"I can't take this!" I said, ignoring her question completely. I kept bumping my head on the steering wheel. "I can't live like this!"

"Can you please tell me what's going on, Liyah? Are you having medication problems?"

"How can I keep this up for the next months?" I complained, completely ignoring Laura again.

"Oh, you're talking about Alex, aren't you?" she figured.

"I just don't know. It's like he's whipping this sexual lash at me, and I'm like his sex pet. Everything he does just turns me on." I said. "Last night, he just stared at me, and I could feel my hand wanting to grab him and do something dirty. It's so messed up."

"Look at you!" Laura laughed. "I've never seen you so worked up and turned on like this."

"And now, he's staying in the room next to mine. How am I supposed to resist that?"

"Then just get back with him already!" she said.

"I can't." I replied. "I'm with Ken now. I don't want to see another person turn into Nick."

"Oh please." She laughed. "You think Ken actually cares about that? He's not like Nick. As I recall, you're the one who forced Ken into diving into the relationship pool! I don't think he'd mind if you break up with him since he's just a sex guy."

"You know..." I turned to Laura. "I found that very comforting. For once in your life, your sex talks actually made me feel better."

"Hey, you're my best friend." She continued to laugh. "Sex talk or not, I'm always gonna give you advise that's good for you."

"Thanks, Laura." I smiled. "I remember when I collapsed outside that restaurant because of Alex."

"Yeah. I saved your ass." She said. "Now, save our ass. We better go. We're gonna be late."

"No, I just made that up. I was just trying to avoid Alex. If I saw him go out that bathroom with a wet face, I'd burn up."

"Oh." She laughed. "Well done, Liyah Loveworth... I'm gonna love to see how this folds."
