MALACHI MILLER HAD BEEN CONCERNED ABOUT THE TRUTH. About what Liana was hiding, he had gotten this sense around her, that she couldn't be trusted. He tried to push it down, because he knew it was just a terrible thing. He knew he felt this way with everyone he meant because of his past. He especially didn't trust adults, so, obviously he believed that Liana was lying.
There was no way he was going to tell either Novoa brother about this. Not that they wouldn't understand, they would, but that's why it would be worst. Because, they'd say it was okay that Kai felt that way.
Kai hated it. He stated that he watched his back, watched everyone's move, and when he was startled, to lost in his own thoughts, he freaked out. He wanted for it to stop. He knew that it would be. Sure, down the line, layer in life, he may not be as jumpy. That. He won't flinch whenever someone touches him unexpectedly, but that's time hasn't yet come.
"Kai?" Jax lowly asked, carefully as to not scare him.
Kai's head snapped up, cursing himself for getting lost in his own thoughts. So, Kai smiled brightly at Jax. "I'm fine." He answered, seeing the look on Jax's face. He reached a hand out to grasp Jax's hand, intertwining his fingers. He leans in, pressing a quickly peck onto Jax's lips. ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥𝑺𝒎𝒐𝒌𝒆 & 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
"Andi told me what you did to the Council," Jason smiled as he approached Emma. "Where did you learn a Reflection Spell?" He whispered.
"Hex," Emma smiled, voice low to whisper.
"I should really start reading more books. I'll out that in my notes," Jason removed his phone, opening the notes app. "Tell Jason Jr. to read more books."
"Do you think i went too far?" Emma asked her boyfriend.
"No. I don't think you went far enough. I think you should've turned them into caterpillars and put this right on the middle of Highway A1A," he laughs.
"Hey, did you talk to Jessie about moving in with your mom?" Emma questioned.
Immediately, his mode dampens. His smile faded. "I couldn't. When Jax and I got home, she wasn't there. Neither was dad."
"What? Where do they go?"
"I don't know. Dad has houses all over the world. They could be anywhere."
