CHAPTER SIXTEEN: Frenemies
∙∙·▫▫ᵒᴼᵒ▫ₒₒ▫ᵒᴼ𝕾𝖒𝖔𝖐𝖊 & 𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖊ᴼᵒ▫ₒₒ▫ᵒᴼᵒ▫▫·∙∙
"Jason, I found it," Emma's voice laced with excitement came from the other side of Jason's phone.
Immediately, he teleported into her room. "What is it?"
"Here," Emma pointed to the spell. "It's called a Tam-bi-an Orb."
"An ancient mechanism used to control time and space. Okay, this looks pretty hard, but I'm sure if we can find the time we can figure it out-" Jason started being cut off as Emma zaps her desk away. "Wait, you want to do this now? Like right now?"
Emma nodded, leading to Jason picking up the book and walking over to her. He held the book for her. "We summon forward and summon back to find the things that we do lack." A giant green ball appeared in the middle of Emma's room, hovering in the air.
"To use the orb to manipulate time and space, a witch must possess immense power." Jason read loud.
"Desdemona and Agamemnon's powers," Emma pulled the tiny bottles from her pocket. "These should be enough."
"Wait,Em, have you thought about this?" Jason asked, hesitate.
But, Emma was already casting the spell again. She held the two witches members powers in her opposite hand.
"I guess so," Jason says, lowly. He steps back.
"I shall go to any length to give myself great powers and strength," Emma spilled out Desdemona and Agamemnon's power. All three floating into the green circle. "There's no going back now." She tells Jason. She leans closer, excitement and nerves filling her. "It's working," she says when the green circle begins to dark, a black circle appearing in the middle.
"So, this ball of supposed to being your mom back?" Jason questioned.
"No. It's not that simple. The orb has enough power to alter the Earth's rotation. Then because of the law of angular momentum-"
"Ooh, science," Jason gives her an unsure smile. "you know that's not my thing." Kai has been tutoring him.
"I'm going to turn back time by spinning the entire Earth backwards until I reach the time when my mom was alive." ∙·▫▫ᵒᴼᵒ▫ₒₒ▫ᵒᴼ𝕾𝖒𝖔𝖐𝖊 & 𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖊ᴼᵒ▫ₒₒ▫ᵒᴼᵒ▫▫·∙∙
"And, I get that she missed her mom. No amount of time could fix that," Kai says. "But, I just can't believe that she would compare it to me-you know it took me almost two years to be able to tell her?"
