Roller Skating

Summary: Leon and Claire go on a date to a skating rink!

Status of their relationship in this one shot: Dating.

Tying the laces of her skates up, Claire adjusted how they were fit to her feet. Leon was sat beside her, simply waiting on her to do so considering his were already tied up. "How do they fit?" He asked her, watching as she began to tie up the second one. "Good, thank you again." Claire said lovingly to her boyfriend of five months. Leon nodded, "Anything for you." Leon had bought her some skates about a week ago for her birthday, knowing she's been needing a new pair.

Just then, Claire carefully stood up then glanced down, checking out the skates. They are so cute! Pink with '70s style flowers painted on them. Claire couldn't get enough of them, they are totally her style for this activity. Leon's are fresh too, all light blue with white accents on them. His are definitely more plain, but they still have swag to them.

Standing up after her, Leon looked out at the rink itself. It's quite packed but then again, when is it not? It makes it more fun.

Both Claire and Leon are good at skating. For Claire, she's been doing it since she was a teenager. Chris would give her some money every so often so she and her friends could hit the rink and have a fun time. As for Leon, he's only gone a few times but in those times, he learned quite well. He's just not as good as Claire... Yet!

"You ready?" Claire giggled at her boyfriend, her face was enough to uplift his entire mood. "Yeah baby, let's go."

Going together, side by side, both Claire and Leon entered the rink. The difference in platform from the thin carpet to the hard wooden floor was smooth and made it easy to transition from walking carefully to rolling with ease in the rink. Claire laughed as she watched her new skates in action. "They are great babe!" She shouted out to Leon, the music being louder in the rink. Leon gave her a thumbs up and followed near her. She was very happy with these skates.

This skating rink is also her personal favorite. It has the best food, best workers, best music, best rink and most of all, best challenges. Her favorite as a teenager was the races, she was always amazing at them. Now, probably not so much, a twelve year old would most definitely have her beat but it doesn't matter anyways, she only sticks to the adult ones now.

Spinning around and grabbing onto a wall, Claire laughed cutely as she watched Leon catch up to her. Oh he is so handsome. He hit the wall beside her and leered. "You are so pretty." Leon reached his hand out, cupping her cheek. "Thank you." She tilted her head, so obviously blushing. Leaning in, Leon kissed her and Claire breathed in deeply, kissing him back. Neither of them are huge on PDA but hey, who is really paying attention to some randos kissing in a rink full of people!

After their kiss, Claire let out a happy sigh before pushing herself off of the wall. "How do I look!?" She laughed again, spinning before traversing with haste around the rectangular rink, moving with elegancy. Leon simply watched, being very amused by his girlfriend. "Fantastic!" Leon yelled out to her before also beginning to skate again, being a couple feet behind Claire.

A new song began to play. It was upbeat and fun. It was "Girls just wanna have fun" by Cyndi Lauper, an iconic '80s female singer that both Claire and Leon like. As the song started, Claire halted and waited for Leon. He skated up to her and held his hand out, continuing to drift. Claire cackled and took his hand, the two of them now rolling forward and around at a decent speed, avoiding any kids and other adults in the circle.

Skating seems to just always be more fun with an iconic rhythmic song such as this one.

"I love this song!" Claire said loudly, talking to Leon with a giddy tone. "I know you do sweetheart." Leon snickered in response, getting happier and happier with each moment he spent with Claire. Seeing her happy makes him happy. He'll never get enough of her or of spending time with her.

They rocked their arms back and fourth as they held hands and spun around the rink. The sight was cute, even some little kids found Claire and Leon to be heart-warming. Young love is truly such a thing to not only feel, but to witness. "Thank you, again, for this." Claire said to Leon, letting go of his hand as she went up to one of the walls, holding onto the railing momentarily to catch her breath. Leon did the same. "Of course Claire."

Then, Claire drew herself to him and smiled before kissing him again, this time slipping her tongue into his mouth and encasing her arms around his neck. Honestly, Leon was surprised. He squeezed her sides and kissed her back, not really minding at all. However, the kiss didn't last long as a young teenage boy flew by them and said, "Get a room!" Both Claire and Leon bursted out into a fit of laughter before nodding to the kid. "Respect." Was all Claire said before taking Leon's hand in her own.

"Shall we continue skating before we eventually stop to stuff our faces?" "We shall." He nodded before slightly laughing once again.
