Summary: Claire & Leon come home after she gave birth to their son, Sam. They introduce him to their daughter, Marianna.

Status of their relationship in this one shot: Married!

It has been a great morning. Truly, a perfect one. Leon couldn't be happier, and same goes for Claire. As for little Sam? Well, he's fast asleep, but will more than likely awaken once they get in the house. Leon currently has a hold on his car seat, it's resting on his inner arm. He would never make Claire carry the car seat, that's diabolical.

Claire is carefully walking beside Leon. She still feels a little weak - childbirth will do that to you. As they stepped up onto the porch, Leon pulled out his key and unlocked the door before entering their home, allowing Claire to head in first. As they did, the aroma of mahogany wood filled their nostrils. The babysitter must've lit some candles throughout the early day.

While Claire & Leon were at the hospital, they had their good friend, Leah, watch over Marianna. Marianna is six years old. She was their first child, their first little baby. Claire and Leon love her with all of their heart. However, they're nervous to see how she'll react to little Sam.

Leon believes she'll be good. She'll be kind and welcoming. Marianna is aware of the baby and the fact Claire is pregnant though they aren't sure she fully understood the concept that she'll be having a new sibling, a baby brother. Either way, they'll ease into this calmly and make sure to always include Marianna. That's often an issue with parents who have a second kid; They tend to forget their first.

They won't do that though. Both of their kiddos come first and both Leon and Claire stand by that.

Setting Sam down onto the floor, Leon looked around the living room and kitchen area to see where Marianna and Leah are. Not down here. Claire sat down on the couch and sighed softly. Leon leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips. "You okay baby?" "Yes, I'm okay. Just so tired." "I'm sure you are. Just lie down, I'm gonna go get Marianna so she can meet Sam." Claire nodded as a response.

Quickly, Leon rambled over to the staircase and ambled up, assuming they're in her playroom. As he knocked on the door, he opened it and saw Marianna playing with some toys and Leah sitting in the chair, watching and laughing along with her. The second Marianna noticed Leon, she stood up and smiled. "Daddy!" She ran and jumped up into his arms.

"Hey honey." Leon kissed her cheek and held her close. "Seems like you've been having a good morning." Leon snickered. "I am! So fun, Leah played with me since I woke up!" She giggled and glanced over at her babysitter. Leon mouthed the words, "Thanks." Before setting Marianna down. "Alright sweetheart, there's someone I want you to meet." "Who?" "Come on, you'll see." Leon said as he held his hand out.

Marianna took his hand and from there, they began to head out of the room and head down the stairs. As they traveled down, Leon noticed that Claire was holding Sam close into her arms, watching as he cooed at her. Marianna hadn't noticed but Leon hopes she'll have a good reaction. He knows some kids don't.

Leon lifted their daughter up into his arms and conveyed over to his wife and son. Marianna now realized who she was going to meet and a faint smile overcame her face. "Is that my brother?" She asked. She is a smart girl. Ahead of time, Leon & Claire referred to Sam as "baby brother" to Marianna, knowing it would make it a lot easier on her.

Looking up, Claire nodded. "He sure is. This is Sam, sweetie. Your little brother." Claire said to Marianna. Gently, Leon set Marianna down and watched as he ran over to Claire and Sam, sitting on the couch and gazing at her now brother. Leon is on edge, honestly. He thinks Marianna will do well but there's always the side of "what ifs".

"Wow momma," Marianna smiled and rested her head on Claire's shoulder, "He is so cute." Marianna tittered and pet his head. The wave of relief that washed over Leon was copious. He smirked and walked over, sitting beside Marianna, now having her between them. "You think so?" Claire spoke up with a soft laugh. "He is almost as cute as you."

That's key - making Marianna recall her worth. She's a special girl. Claire and Leon will make sure to make her feel like she's still their number one. "He is!" She laughed and kissed his head gently. "So he came out of your stomach?" "He sure did, Marianna." Claire hummed out, kissing the top of her head whilst caressing Sam's small head. "Weird." She murmured, making both of them chuckle in reply.

"How you feeling?" Leon questioned Marianna, rubbing her tiny shoulders, hoping she's feeling included & loved. "I feel happy dad. Now we have Sam, he's so adorable!" The way Marianna talks is so precious. She truly is the epitome of little girl. More relief came over Leon and he shook his head. "Good. That's what I like to hear." He patted her back before standing up.

"How does the idea of breakfast sound?" Leon asked his family, and Leah, who was standing on the stairs, admiring the moment. "Yes please." Claire snorted out as she stood up, rocking Sam in her arms. "Alright, I'll cook us all something, and that includes you Leah." He winked at her before walking off to the kitchen.
