Maddison's POV

I wake up the next morning, and check my phone. It's only Tuesday, I groan and roll out of bed. I look in the mirror, and wonder why me? I walk to my closet, and stare at it, blankly. I find a striped navy blue and white cropped tang top, and white shorts. Grab my black flip flops and go to the bath room. I straightened me hair, applied mascara, and a little bit of foundation. I check the time, and sprint down stair because I was going to be late.

When I get to school, I go to my locker. I grab my English, and Science things. I close my locker, and head to English. When I walk into the room, I didn't see Lilly. I sit at are normal seats, and then Cameron walks in. He notices the seat next to me is empty, and smirks. An than of course sits in then seat next to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked puzzled.

"I'm sitting here, because Lilly isn't here today." He says, and looks at me.

"Okay."

Thirty minutes into class Cam hits his knee against mine, and my pencil served around the paper. I look up at him.

"What the hell?" I whisper yell.

"You seemed to focused." I looked at his paper and it was blank.

"You confuse me Maddie." He says looking at me.

"What are you talking about?" I whisper.

"You seem like such a bad ass, but yet you do so well in school." He says. I look at him, then thought about it.

"Meet me at me car after school." He tells me, not asks. I ignore him, and got back to working on my paper.

After school I go to my locker, and I guess so does Olivia.

"You and Cameron are cute." She says, but catches me by surprise.

"Huh?" I ask.

"The way you guys talk to each other. It's cute." She says smiling, as if there was a secret behind that evil smile. I just nod, grab my stuff from my locker, close it, and go outside.
For the brief moment, I rethought about going with Cam. But I just walked over to his car any way.

"Hi." I say as I open the door. He didn't answer and just dove. When we reach a place, where it took at good 15 minutes driving up a mountain.

"Where are we?" I say finally breaking the silence. He doesn't answer, he just oddly pulls out a cigarette. I stare at him, and he looks at me.

"What?" He asks, but his words are muffled because of the cigarette.

"Why?" I ask.

"I thought you where all bad ass?" He asks me.
"It's a cancer stick." I say and take it out of his mouth and throw it out the window. He looks at me, but he wasn't mad.

He stops an gets out of the car, but honestly I thought it was kinda hot when he left me in suspense. I leave the car, and see this view that was breath taking. Hill tops, tress that human eye can barley see, you are so high up the air is thin, and fog is on the horizon.

"So I heard you where adventures, funny. Because I am too." He says then smirks, looks down, and kicks at the dirt. I stand there silent looking at this boy, that just randomly starting to notice me.

"Why me?" I ask. He looks at me with a weird expression.

"What do you mean, why you?" He asks. He was squinting because of the sunlight shining in his eyes.

"Out of all the people in the school, you decide I'm your victim?" I say looking at him.

"Victim huh?" He says, an turns toward the view.

"Than you must be one damn lucky victim." He adds smiling.

"Cameron I'm being serious." I say and look at him.

"You aren't use to me be all Mr. Nice guy." There was silence for a good 5 minutes.

"What happened between you, and Olivia any way?" He asks. I stop, and become quite.

"Can you take me home?" I ask.

"Was it over a stupid guy, or a piece of food."

"No."

"Wait, wait. Was it over someone famous that you guys both liked?" He says laughing.

"No!"

"Than what was it? It was probably something stupid." He says. I clench my fist.

"You really wanna know? Okay well here it is. My dad passed away when I was 13 when me and her where friends. So she thought it would be 'funny' to fake her dads death." I say.

"For 3 years I sat around thinking she knew exactly how I felt. I told her all my feelings, when all along she was faking it. And the worst part was, she didn't feel bad in the end and told everyone all my secrets." I say as I began to cry.

"Maddie I'm so-"

"Just take me home." I say in a frustrated tone. He didn't move, I figured he was waiting for me to say something.

"Everyone thinks I did something for her to hate me, but really it was she did something that made me hate her." I say.

"Maddie I didn't know you-"

"You asked so I gave it to you. No my dad wasn't a piece of food, someone famous, or a guy we both liked or whatever. It was someone who made me half the person I am today, and you thought it was all a joke. You are just like her, you guys both have those sick twisted minds. Well now you know. Now please take me home!" I say. He nods and walks toward the car. I stand there for a couple seconds, then walked to the car.
