Chapter Forty-Six

Maddison's POV

It was the day I had to go. My mom helped me find a nice apartment. It was little and cute, but the thing that caught my eye was the living room was all windows with a over view of the city lights at night, and the ocean. It was beautiful. Only this is I do have a roommate, which isn't bad, I've never met her. My mom thought I wouldn't be able to afford it myself. So Jack found a friend.

I grab my last box and walk down the stairs. I caught myself walking down the stairs fairly slow. With my free hand I tail my fingers down the railing until I reach the bottom of the stairs. I know I didn't live here long, but it was with him. Jack and my mom were waiting outside. When I walk to the door I stop and look around the house. It was quite. But the flash backs of Cameron come back to me. Oh my god. Cameron. It's felt like years since I've thought about him.

"Ready?" Jack says behind me and I jump a little.

"Oh yeah." I say and pack the box in the back of the car.

"Jack and I are going to both drive in the same car, then meet you at the airport. and then Jacks friend Piper will be picking you up in New York." I nod at my mom, and jump in the car.

Piper was my roommate, Jack said she is very nice, she bought the apartment, and is already in New York.

"Maddie you forgot a box." Jack says and places in the passengers seat.

"See you there!" He yells.

I was totally unaware I thought I grabbed all my boxed. But I finally open the box. All the stuff Cameron and I had laid in this box. Pictures to little stuffed animals. A tear slipped down my face. I snap back to reality.

My mom and Jack had left, and I knew I had one last stop.

When I pass his house. After our fight he moved back in with his mom, and as well did Rose. My mom and Ms. Dallas still talk and that's as much as I knew. It was like I was replaced within seconds. But if you love someone as much as I loved Cameron you learn to let them go if it makes them happy. I stop slowly at the house, and I have a letter for him that I wrote awhile ago that o never gave to him, but I added a few things. I walk to the front door, and slip in through the mail slot, and walk away. The door opened just as I got in my car. But as my name was called behind me, I knew it was the last time he would say it ever.

And with that, I drive away. New York here I come.
