Chapter Forty

Maddison's POV

I lay here in the grip of Cameron's arms. Cam sits up, and looks at me.

"Why did you leave me for Sam?" He ask gently not to hurt my feelings.

"Well you cheated on me, and I felt so used. I was so alone Cameron, I told you everything, and anything. Then I pushed you away. And I was so done with everything. Sam was the only one there for me through it all. You seem to fall for the one who are there for you when no one else is." I pause.

"I'm sorry." Is all he seemed to get out.

"You acted like you loved me, and then just fucked me over. I felt so useless. No one has ever made me feel the way you did. From the butterfly's, to crying until I pass out. No one. You made me feel special, to useless. Within seconds." I pause again.

"Just remember that." I pause again.

He wasn't looking at me because he knew how right I was. It feel good to get it out, but there was still one more question on my mind.

"Why?" I spit out.

He lifted his head.

"Why what?"

"Why for all of this, why did you cheat, why did you move on so fast, why did you not try to get me back until you saw me with someone else?"

"Maddie I don't have a answer."

"Then you can't have my kisses if you don't answer." He pouts.

"I did it because, you had this big idea for your photography. You had big plans. I knew at some point you were gonna leave. So I thought it would be easy to just tell you, but I didn't. So I cheated." He says, and just like that.

I smash my lips against his. This boy gave me such mixed emotions, I couldn't explain.

"Maddie."

"Mhmm."

"I love you."

I pull away. I stare at him.

Did I love him? All the shit, everything did I still Iove him? Maybe.

"Love you too."

"Maddie. I love you." He repeats.

He noticed.

"Love you too."

"Why aren't you saying 'I'." He pout again.

I don't know why but I couldn't get it out.
