Chapter 6: Busted

(Courtney's POV)

(A/N Maxie's POV will come in play later in this chapter.)

I swear next time I see Sarah, I'm going to kill her. With her little incident at breakfast yesterday morning, she left me with a gash, from what I assumed to be a Shadow Claw, across my back. At least she didn't get my front side, or she'd already be dead. I was on my way to Maxie's office, as I had some wonderful news for him, and I was happy too. At least Sarah wasn't at breakfast to do anything bad this morning. But something was off. Tabitha wasn't there either. He must've overslept.

I arrived at Maxie's office and knocked, slightly blushing. He answered and greeted me with a kiss. "Good morning Courtney." 

I smiled and kissed him back. "Morning." He motioned me to come in his office, and I did, closing the door. 

Maxie looked at me, a bit confused. "Why did you do that, Courtney?" 

I smiled and hugged him. "Bend down." He did. I then whispered in his ear, smiling uncontrollably. "We.... We are going to be parents!" 

He blushed, and kissed me. "Really?" 

I nodded. "Yes! We are!" I returned his kiss. "When are you going to announce it?" 

I hesitated. "Tonight at dinner."

Maxie smiled. "Sounds good." He then paused for a moment. "Oh. I have something I need you to do for me." 

I looked at him. "What is it?" 

He was now talking in a serious voice. "I need you to go check on Sarah. I would do it myself, but I have some Grunts in the field I need to talk to." 

I nodded. That sounded easy enough. "Right. I can do that." I quickly kissed him before I started to head for the infirmary, where Sarah was.

(Sarah's POV)

I had just woken up, and Tabitha was still sleeping, and I kissed him on the cheek. I then got up and went to the bathroom. When I came back out, Tabitha was sitting up, and I assumed he was waiting for me. "Morning Tabitha." 

He smiled as I walked over to him. "Morning Sarah." I then climbed back on the bed, and sat in his lap, and kissed him. He did the same, and continued the kiss.

We were kissing for a few minutes, then I heard someone clear their throat. I turned around, and Courtney was standing there. I blushed as bright as I ever had. "H-hi Courtney..." 

She had her arms crossed, and didn't sound too amused. "Why is he in here with you? Shouldn't you be in solitary confinement or something for what you did yesterday?" 

I sighed. Courtney hated me with such a big passion. "Courtney, look. It was all an accident. I had no control whatsoever over what I was doing!" 

She then grabbed me off the bed, growling, and pinned me to the wall. "That was no accident!!!" Tears then came to her eyes, and she tightened her grip on me. "You... You could've killed them..." 

I looked at her confused. "Them? Who could I have killed?"

As soon as Courtney pointed at her stomach, I knew. 

I then started to cry myself. "C-Courtney... I'm sorry... I... I didn't know..." 

She just growled at me. "Sorry doesn't cut it with this! What if you actually killed them?!" She then pulled me along, out of the room, to Maxie's Office.

(Maxie's POV (See, I told you.))

I was working in my office, when Courtney suddenly came in, carrying Sarah by the collar. I jumped up. "Courtney! What are you doing? Put Sarah down!" 

She then plopped Sarah down in the chair across from mine, and growled at her. I know the two are pretty big rivals, but why would she bring Sarah to me? "Court-" 

She cut me off. "Do you know what she did?!" 

I shook my head. "Sorry. No." 

She then slammed her fist on my desk, scaring me. "She... This monster almost killed our child!" 

I looked at Sarah. "You what?!" 

She hung her head low. "M-Maxie Sir, I'm sorry... I... I didn't know... It was yesterday morning at breakfast..." She then sniffed. "P-please forgive me..."

Courtney then stomped her foot. "No! She should be punished!" I shook my head, unsure what to do. I know what she did the other day was a complete accident, that she didn't even want it to happen, but it did.

As I pondered in thought, I thought I heard the sound of an Ariados, but I don't own one, and neither does Sarah or Courtney. I ignored it, and I wish I hadn't. I was about to speak up, when an Ariados suddenly dropped down on to my desk, and pinned Sarah's arms to her sides. I quickly jumped up. "Hey! What's going on?!" Two people then came into my office. Shelly and Archie. Ugh. Team Aqua. Shelly then sent out her Feraligatr, and before I knew it, her Feraligatr came up and hit me, and I fell to the floor.

(Sarah's POV)

(A/N: I'm not bringing in Team Aqua's POV, but I will bring in Wallace's.)

I was very confused. Maxie was on the ground, out cold, and Shelly had grabbed Courtney. "Hey! Shelly! What are you doing?!" 

Shelly sighed. "Sorry Courtney. Archie's orders..." Archie then walked over to me, but didn't grab me. He then looked at the Ariados, who used another String Shot on me, securing my arms tighter. I growled, and Archie returned the Ariados. 

He grinned and grabbed me. "Aye. Let's go Shelly. You can bring Courtney if ya want." 

Shelly shook her head. "Nah. I'll leave her here." At that, she released Courtney. She then ran over to Maxie's side as Shelly returned her Feraligatr.

I really dislike Team Aqua. Not only are they our rival team, I've had bad experiences with them when I was younger.

To keep it short, basically, I was kidnapped by them, much like now, and, um, they beat me like there was.no tomorrow, and ended up removing my right arm. Ever since, I've vowed that I'd get my vengeance on them. The entire reason I joined Team Magma. I haven't told Tabitha yet, as I'm not sure how he'd handle it.

I don't want him to get involved in this, as it will be my battle.

As we neared the Aqua Base, the truck that I was put in was hit, and turned to its side. As that happen, I got trapped under so much junk, and I couldn't move.
