Turbulent Magma

Chapter 12: Heading out

(Tabitha's POV

A/N: There is a bit of iffy stuff in the middle of this chapter, right after the little time skip, so if you are a younger reader/don't like reading iffy things SKIP IT)

Lauren shook her head. "I'd like to head out too, but it is pretty late. We should wait until morning to head out."

I sighed and nodded. "That's true. So uh, d-do you want to sleep with me in my room tonight?" I asked Lauren, blushing.

She nodded. "Yeah."

I smiled, still blushing, and took her to my room.

(The next morning)

I was up much earlier than Lauren, and I was in the training room, practicing with my new powers. I didn't really care if any Grunts saw me, as they would've learned about my powers sooner or later. I then sent out my Charizard, and battled him.

I ended up beating him, and once I returned Charizard, I looked at the time. It was only 6AM, and I've been up for at least two hours.

I then went back to my room, and Lauren was up, and ready to go. "Morning Tabitha."

I smiled, and slightly chuckled. "Morning sleepy head."

"And why am I a sleepy head? It's only 6 in the morning..."

I sighed. "I've been up since 4."

Lauren chuckled. "Ah. I see."

"Well, let's head out."

Lauren nodded. "Yeah."

We then went out, and started for the Team Aqua Base.

About halfway there, Lauren stopped me and pulled me aside into some bushes.

"Hey. What are you doing?" I asked her.

She quickly glanced around, as if making sure nobody was watching us. She then looked back at me, and she was blushing. "Tabitha, w-would you mind if I asked you a question?"

I shook my head, starting to become a bit suspicious. "No. Not at all. Ask away."

(Time skip about 30 minutes later...)

Lauren and I were both in our Pokemon forms, and I never felt better. Even though Sarah might want to kill me later down the road, I really don't care, as I kinda needed what just happened. I then changed back to my Pokehuman form, and got up, and Lauren did the same.'

"Tabitha... You are one amazing Absol.."

I blushed. "Thanks. And you're a great Lucario."

Lauren smiled and took my hand. "Alright. Let's get going then. We don't want to leave Sarah waiting all day."

I nodded, images of what just happened still racing in my mind. "Yeah. Let's go."

Lauren and I then continued to head for the Team Aqua Base.

As we were walking, something occurred to me. I wasn't doing this just to get Sarah back. I was doing this for Team Magma as a whole. If I am successful in saving Sarah, Maxie will surely recognize my strength and talent as an Admin, and somehow reward me. Who knows. I might become the co-leader of Team Magma! But yet again, I will probably never see the light of day again if I were to fail and Archie, Matt, or Shelly end up catching us and finding out who we truly are. But I don't care. I'm doing whatever it takes to get her back.

We were nearing the Team Aqua Base, and I did a double take. Maxie, Wallace and Winona were all standing outside, well Wallace had actually just went in. But still. WHAT IS MAXIE DOING HERE?! I then looked at Lauren, and she looked at me. "This can't be good at all, Lauren."

She nodded. "Yeah. I agree with you, Tabitha."

We then just stood there, unsure of what our next move should be.
