Chapter 7: Rescue Attempt

(Wallace's POV)

As soon as the Hydro Pump knocked the truck over, I knew I'd overdone it. I bit my tongue and returned Swampert. I hope Sarah's ok. I then sent out my newly acquired Empoleon, who used Metal Claw to slash a hole in the top of the truck, so I could climb in.

I briefly hesitated, as this took me back. Back to a lie, a hidden secret I keep from Sarah. When she was about 7 or 8, Team Aqua came and kidnapped her, and they kept her locked up. Why? I had passed down the secrets of The Cave of Origins down to her. The lie was that it was because of Team Aqua that she lost the lower part. The truth is, it was my own stupidity.

When I was going to rescue her, I had my Swampert with me. I had ordered it to use a Hydro Pump on the concrete wall, so I could go in and save her. I ended up making part of the wall on her arm. And it completely shattered the bone. The only part that is true is that Team Aqua gave her the robotic arm, and amputated the lower part. But as who did it? Me. I haven't ever told her the truth. I might never do so.

I looked around. "Sarah! Where are you?" 

I then heard her voice. "Dad? Is that you?" 

"Yeah!" I shouted back.

I was clearing out the rubble, and I could barely see her, when she suddenly yelled. "Dad! Behind you!" Before I had time to react, I felt something hit me in the back of the head, and my vision went black as I passed out.

(Sarah's P.O.V.)

I yelped when I saw Archie's Crobat use Steel Wing on my dad, and knock him out cold. Archie then came over to where I was, and he cleared the rubble surrounding me. He chuckled, grabbing me. "Looks like your father's little plan didn't work. Guess I'll have to take you to the Aqua Base myself." 

I shivered as he tightly grabbed me, pulling me to my feet. "What are you going to do to my dad?" I asked. 

Archie sighed. "Actually, nothing. Now stop wasting time!" he barked, forcing me out of the rubble.

A sudden thought came to mind. Tabitha. I need to find a way to tell him what's going on. However, I don't have much time. I look around, and see thick forests surrounding us. I know where we were, and smirked. One of my Pokémon friends, still wild, lived out here. But, she is a bit different. She's a Lucario, but is also human, thus making her a Pokéhuman. I suddenly yelled out something that only I and Lauren understand, a type of code I'd say.

Archie looked at me like I was crazy. "What in the world are ya doin'?"

I chuckled. "Just telling a friend to let Tabitha know of my current situation." At that, I saw a blue blur dash across my vision, heading for the direction of the Team Magma Base.

Archie glared at me. "That better be all, ya landlubber. If they came over here tryin' to save ya, that would've been the end of you and yer friend." He then grabbed a length of rope and tied my arms with it.
