Chapter 16: An Unwanted Reunion

(Sarah's POV

I groaned. I had no idea what was going on, as Dark Aura had taken over, and it was somehow broken.

When I opened my eyes, there were two people standing over me. My mother, Winona, and Maxie. I groaned, and looked at mom. "M-mom?"

She nodded, tears in her eyes, and hugged me. "It's ok sweetie. Mom's here for you."

I hugged back. "Archie... H-he..."

Mom shushed me, and stroked my hair. "It's ok sweetheart. All I care about is that you're safe."

I hugged her a bit tighter. "H-how did you know to come?"

She then broke from the hug. "Maxie helped. He said he saw you getting kidnapped."

I sighed. "Oh yeah. That's right."

I then looked over at Maxie, and I saw Lauren by his side. "Wait. If you're here Lauren, then where's...?"

Lauren shook her head. "All you need to know is that Tabitha is safe, alright?"

I wanted to trust her, but she had a look on her face that made me think otherwise. Something about her expression seemed... Bad.

A voice then randomly popped in my head. Hello, Sarah.

I looked around, trying to find the source of the voice.

It then chuckled. Oh. You can't find me by looking around, Sarah. I'm in your head.

Alright. Then who are you? I asked.

The name's Lia. And I am your Yveltal personality. Now, let's have some fun, shall we?

I now realized it was a female voice, but before I could respond, an unbearable pain shot through my body, and I fell to the ground clutching my head. "GYAAAH!"

Maxie rushed to my side. "Sarah! Are you alright?!"

I could barely hear his voice above Lia's. Say. You are quite fun to hurt and torture. Maybe I should use an old, lost power that I know how to use, on you, she continued. Yes. I will. It will be fun!

With that, an even worse pain shot through my body.

I must've blacked out, because the next thing I knew, I was in the back of some truck, and Tabitha was holding me. "T-Tabitha...?" I said weakly.

He had a somber look on his face as he stroked my hair. "Yes. It's me. Are you feeling ok? We're on our way back to the Team Magma Base."

I weakly nodded. "Y-yeah... Just.... Just a bit weak."

He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Don't you worry. As soon as we get you back, your going directly to the medical area."

With a nod, I closed my eyes and drifted off.

The next time I came around, I was in a hospital bed, and there were a few doctors around me. They were talking, and also seemed to notice that I was conscious, but continued talking.

The only thing that I could hear was ringing in my ears, but it slowly died down.

The one doctor then mentioned something that shocked the other two that were with him, as they looked at me, clearly shocked.

I wanted to ask them what was wrong so badly, but I couldn't even talk.

Then something I didn't really see coming happened.

Tabitha came in and sat by my side, taking my right arm into his hands, and was talking to the doctors. My hearing cleared up finally, and I heard Tabitha. "...ant. You're 100% sure about that?"

The doctor he was talking to nodded.

Ant? What did that have to do with anything?

Before I could do anything, Lia said something. You know, he is right. And I'm the one who did it to you.

Before I could question anything I heard, I slipped into unconscious again.
