(Tabitha's POV)

(A/N: I'm going to try to do only one POV per chapter.)

I rushed into Maxie's office. Everything was a mess. Papers strewn everywhere, webs and such around the room, and Maxie was passed out in the middle of the floor.

I rushed over to him. "Maxie, sir! Are you alright?" I started to shake him, trying to wake him up.

He groaned, and opened his eyes. "Courtney...? Is that... You?"

I sighed and shook my head. "No. It's me, Tabitha," I said, helping him sit up. "What exactly happened in here? I heard fighting, and came to make sure everything was ok."

Maxie shook his head. "Well, I can tell you one thing for sure. Everything isn't ok."

I looked at him, slightly tilting my head. "It... Isn't? What exactly happened in here, then?" I then helped him get up.

Maxie then walked over to his desk, and sat down. I picked up one of the chairs that was pushed over, and sat in it, across from Maxie. "It was Team Aqua. They came in, and they ended up taking Sarah."

No. This couldn't be happening. Sarah is not in Team Aqua's hands. This can't be true. "Is all this true, sir?"

He reluctantly nodded. "Yes, I'm afraid so Tabitha. I do plan on getting her back, but first we need to devise a plan."

I nodded in agreement. "Sounds good. I just hope we can get her back soon..."

Someone from behind then spoke up. "Well, if I can help it, she's staying with Team Aqua."

I turned around. It was Courtney. "Courtney, why do you always say the worst about her?" I said as I crossed my arms.

Courtney just glared at me. "You don't want to know. We have a long history."

I sighed. "I need to go get some coffee," I said as I walked out of Maxie's office.

As I entered the Break Room, something felt off, but I couldn't place it. So I went to make myself a cup of coffee, and when I turned around, there was a Lucario Pokéhuman sitting on the table. "L-Lauren! What are you doing here?" I then sat my cup on the counter.

Lauren jumped down from the table, and sighed. "Sarah sent me. She wants me to tell you that Team Aqua has her captive, and that she's alright at the moment."

I sighed in relief. "Good. She's alright. I can't bear the thought of losing her..."

Lauren nodded. "I understand. I would relay a message to her, but I heard Archie make a threat."

I slightly tilted my head. "And what was the threat?"

Lauren sighed. "He promised that if I tried to save her, and relying a message would technically be that, it would be the end of the both of us."

"Wow. Archie seriously made that threat?"

She nodded. "He did. However, I do have a plan that could allow us to save her, but not be recognized."

I was instantly hooked. I'd do anything to help Sarah. "What is it?"

"Well, you're a scientist. All I'm telling you is that you'd need to become a bit like me."

I instantly got what she meant. I'd have to become some type of Pokéhuman. I've wanted to do it in the past, but I don't think Sarah would really like it. And I had a Pokémon in mind. And I had its DNA. If I were to do this, I'd become an Absol Pokéhuman. I nodded. "I get it. C'mon. Let's go to my labs."

Lauren nodded. "Right."

With that, we headed to my labs.

Once we arrived, I shut and locked the doors. "Right. Let's do this." I sighed and pulled out a liquid that was as black as night, and put it in a syringe.

Lauren watched, as if waiting for something to happen.

Shakily, I hopped up on the counter, and was sat. "Here goes nothing..." I sighed and positioned the needle on my neck, and pushed the plunger down and a searing pain shot through my body as everything went black.

(A/N: Yeah. I've made a decision. Each chapter is gonna be one POV from now on, and there's a pattern: Tabitha, Sarah, Lauren, Maxie, and going back to the beginning.)
