"Megan huh!?" I say with a puzzled look on my face.  "Yeah yeah, my parents started calling me Pookie when I was little and it just kinda stuck.  But that's not whats important!  The question is...How the hell did you do that, your not suppose to be able to do anything like that till your closer to eighteen?!"  I was shocked to say the least.  For one I don't know how I made her see my dream, I don't know who that woman was, and I sure as hell don't know what she's talking about....how does she know anything- what I should or shouldn't be able to do?  I haven't told anyone about the nightmares that turned out to come true.  Miss Megan-Pookie 'whoever she is' was about to do some serious explaining!  I told her to start from the beginning and don't stop till she's told me everything!  This was gonna be a long day to say the least.

Her story began when she was only five.  She figured out that there was something different about her then the other kids she knew...she started knowing things would happen before they actually did.  Her parents brushed it off as a child's wild imagination as most parents would.  It started out only happening every few months for the first 8 years or so and she had learned early on to keep her visions to herself....things were much easier that way.  Around the age of thirteen she started being able to see ghosts and talk to them.  Of course there was NO WAY she was telling anyone that.  It was difficult being different but she knew there was no changing who she was so she learned to control her gift.  If she didn't want to bother with ghosts for a few days she simply wouldn't allow them to bother her.  When Pookie was sixteen she had a vision that her parents would be in a car wreck and die.  Of course she immediately warned them, she even hid their keys so they couldn't go anywhere.  But that didn't last long....a week later they were killed leaving her to bear the burden that she knew what would happen but could do nothing to stop it.  She was soon shipped here to Dylan Hall, since none of her relatives could be bothered with a child such as herself.   So this was her new home.  She soon met the friends she has now and settled in.

Pookie tried leaving the story there but I wasn't having it.  She just took a deep breath, rolled her eyes and started up talking again.  This time she told me to make sure I kept an open mind and didn't freak out....which of course I couldn't promise since I was already freaking out alittle.

She told me how when she first got here she kept her abilities to herself.  But her and Lyza became very close and she decided that she wanted to share her secret.  Of course she expected Lyza to call her crazy or any of the other of the many names she heard over the years but to her surprise Lyza only smiled.  I was completely confused by this but she assured me I would understand shortly.  She explained how Lyza not only excepted Pookie for who she was but she also had a secret of her own.  Lyza turned out to be none other than a witch.  Now I starting to understand how the whole thing happened when Lyza came and calmed me down during the panic attack I was having my first day here.  This was definitely alot of information to take in all at once.  Pookie asked me if she should continue or if it was getting to be too much and of course I lied and told her I was fine and to continue.

She warned me that there were secrets about her other friends that weren't hers to tell.  She said that they would eventually tell me themselves.  More secrets about other friends?  How many of us are there with these 'gifts'?

When I asked her about how she knew what I could do she kind of blushed. " I've learned to read people's minds," she said.  " I'm still new at it so I can't do it very often but that's a good thing cause people's thoughts should be their own.  I really only do it when we get a new student.  Kind of like running a background check on the newbies...no offense," she says.  REALLY.....I wasn't sure I could handle anymore information.

I put my head in my hands...this was all a bit much, I was starting to get a serious headache.  "So all of this is true? What are you gonna tell me next Pookie, that vampires and werewolves are real too?!"  I would've laughed at the idea if she didn't turn a whole new shade of red.  "Like I said before Susie...their secrets are their own to tell!"

I had enough information all at once to drive a person insane but I had to know about one more thing before I could begin to absorb it all.  I turned towards Pookie, sure that I  would regret asking, and asked ....who was the woman I showed you in my vision?  Concern written all over her face she straightens up preparing to give me the answer......."That woman was your mother.............
