VIENNA WAS NOT A PROFILER, NOT BY ANY MEANS, HOWEVER, SOME PEOPLE WERE EASIER TO READ.
Lia was like that sometimes. Mostly not, because she is a natural liar and is able to hide most things, but it was not hard to tell when she needed something.
It was a Saturday, and Vienna was finally taking a break and not working on any cases or reading anything other than her romance novel, which she happened to be almost done with.
She was reading, listening to Taylor Swift's album, Red, specifically the song Everything Has Changed.
Lia walked into their shared room quickly, though Vienna had heard the clicking of her heels up the stairs before she entered.
"Hello Vienna." She grins, plopping down next to Vienna, causing the mattress to squeak as it bounced slightly.
"Hi, Lia." Vienna smiles, barely looking up from her book.
"What are you even listening to?" Lia asks.
"Taylor Swift." Vienna answers.
Lia rolls her eyes. "Oh come on. You need to branch out, Vi. There are so many artists out there."
"I listen to plenty of artists. Taylor Swift is my favorite though."
"I do like that one song on that album....1984?"
"That's a George Orwell novel. The album is called 1989." Vienna corrected.
"Oh, right. You've got me referencing books now." Lia grumbles.
"1989 is a very good album." Vienna changes the subject.
"Shake it off is the only good one." Lia shakes her head.
Vienna raises her eye. "Style is a masterpiece."
Lia shakes her head. "No."
Vienna surrenders, pulling her headphones off and putting her book down. "Did you just come here to make fun of my music taste or do you need something?"
"What? I don't need anything." Lia grins sheepishly, but she dragged out her words in a way that made her tone not as serious.
"Sure." Vienna purses her lips together.
"Fine." Lia gives up. "I do need something."
"Oh, really?" Vienna smiles sarcastically.
"Shut up, this is important. I need your insight."
