Jasmine pov:

My alarm rings for 10 am on the weekends and I hit the alarm shut off button. Waking me up from a nightmare about my family-but I try not to let it get to me and forget about it.

It's Saturday though and I haven't came out of my room. Since yesterday after I got the news from David.

I just lay on my bed feeling drained and still tired but not tired to go sleep. So I just lay there staring at the ceiling. Till I hear a knock at my door not too long ago of staring at the ceiling.

"Hey kid I made breakfast, you hungry?" I hear Nia from the other side of the closed door.

"I'll be there in a minute" I say back to her and I hear her footsteps getting farther and farther away from the door.

In about a minute or two I finally get up and head down for breakfast.

The first that I see is my sister and Nia. Maria was on the dinning table eating what seemed to be French toast with eggs and bacon.

As soon as I'm in the kitchen Nia hands me a plate of the same dish Maria is having.

I look at it for a second and I realized I've never tried French toast and it's always been pancakes or waffles.

Nia might've saw the look I made to the dish. Since she responded with..

"French toast is my favorite so I wanted you guys to try it" she said proudly.

I nod and grab the dish she is giving me. Then I had sit next to Maria and started eating. I was shocked when I had tried the French toast.

The texture of it, and the taste, the sweet and salty. Melting into my mouth and let myself eat and enjoy until I finished within a very short amount of time, which got me bummed but breakfast was delicious.

"Thanks it was great" I say and put in the sink while Nia is sitting next to Maria eating.

"Of course kiddo" she says with food in her mouth, lips curling into a sweet smile.

I took my cue to go back to my room and chill.

As soon as I'm inside my room I close my door and sigh. Then go to my desk to go on my computer.

I decided to play some Overwatch 2 and just let myself focus, and relax, letting the game be a little calm distraction.

After a while playing I get a notification from my phone that caused it to ding. Which I left the game to answer.

I got out my phone from the nightstand and look at it. Which gets me surprised and a bit anxious on who just messaged me.

Brianna: Heyy just to let you know
I'm free today whenever
you want to talk.

Me: oh hey I'm free too
um is it okay if I could
maybe come over?

Brianna: of course you can
want me to pick you up?

Me: sure I'd like that.

30 minutes or so

After texting her i felt pumped to get ready for her. Talk to her everything, but would be difficult to talk to her about what happened.
