Baby Steps

"Come onnnn. Come onnn. Come to Danny..." Danno held out his arms like he was welcoming a child in his arms. Which he kind of was. As far as he knew, Riggy was AT LEAST 20, if not 21. So yeah, not exactly a child. But still taking his first steps... K I N D O F. See... even though Riggy's mental state had improved, his physical condition hadn't exactly improved. If anything, it had even degraded a little. Going from running downstairs, outside, climbing a tree and giggling about pasta to barely being able to walk is a big change. At least it resulted in lots of head skritches. BUT: for the FIRST time in about two...? Three...? Months Riggy:

got up out of bed

Walked over to Rosey and Danno, who had been talking about animation techniques.

And fell on Danno's leg and ended up hugging it awkwardly.

Rosey and Danno (obviously pleasantly surprised) had been excited and encouraged him. So he had crawled on his hands and knees back to Danno's bed and had walked back over to them. Resulting in the current adorable scene. Danno picked Riggy up and did that twirly thing that dad's do when they're kids do something that is really cool (you know. The pick-the-kid-up-by-they're-waste-and-spin-them-in-a-circle-in-the-air-thing IDK what it's called). "YOU DID IT!" He said happily. "Yeah yeah yeah" said Riggy trying to look indifferent by was obviously enjoying the attention. "I tottered over to you and Rosey BIG DEAL" Danno set him down but was still holding onto him. "Can you stand okay?" He asked and before Riggy could answer Rosey crash-takled him with a hug squealing like a highschooler. "YOU DID IT!" She yelled. "YOU DID IT YOU STUPID BLUE FLUFFY IDIOT!" Danno stepped back and let the two of them grin and hug each other. It was sweet really. They kind of reminded him of him and Layha whenever one of them did something amazing... or even remotely good. He really should go see Layha sometime. He hadn't seen her for a good few months. Rosey sounded a lot like Layha too so it made him feel extra guilty (can you tell I want to include a Danno-Layha fluff moment in the next chapter?). Danno grinned at the two... bunnies? Bunny AND Runkey? Whatever the collective noun for the two of them was (a Murder of Toons? A colony of rabbits? A troop/band/barrel of monkeys? A colrrel of Runkey/rabbit? Ah screw it a COLRREL of Runkey/rabbit) he grinned at them. The cute little wholesome moments that Riggy and Rosey had made Danno feel better when he didn't feel too great and where just generally adorable. They where calming too. A little bit TOO calming as it turned out because as Danno listened to their conversation before he knew it he was fast asleep.

I really should get more sleep huh? ~✌

I swear I have, like, an aversion to sleeping. It's like 12:39 AM where I live RN. I really should go to bed, but I'm not sleepyyyyy.
