Spinning, he felt like he was spinning. Suddenly Danno's vision snapped into focus. Everything was still ever so slightly blurry around the edges, but he could see Joey sitting next to him. After a few minutes the ringing in Danno's ears subsided enough that he realized Joey was telling him stories from their childhood, like the time Joey had pushed him off a tractor when they were 2 and Danno getting his revenge 17 years later. That time they accidentally set fire to Joey's bed when they were 6. The time they had brought a container full of worms in from the garden when they were 8 and then completely forgot about it and only remembered when they were cleaning their room 7 months later and found a horrid-smelling box of dead worms. "He must think I'm still unconscious..." thought Danno drowsily; he was losing too much blood, and exhaustion was creeping through his whole body. He noticed his pillow was stained red with blood. "Why haven't they bandaged me up yet?" He thought slowly, and then he heard sirens. Wait—shit... was he in an ambulance? "I must be on my way to a hospital then," he thought disconnectedly. "Huh..." He felt Joey grip his hand; he tried to squeeze it back, but he barely had enough energy to stay awake. "Please be okay, Danny..." he heard Joey say. Joey's voice sounded all weird and far away, like he was shouting from across Eco Cliffs. "I...I don't know what I would do without you..." Danno felt like he was spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning...and all the noises around him were growing fainter. He tried to cling onto Joey's voice, but it was no use; Danno fell right back asleep...
