Gotchard: Ittai!

Gotchard was thrown into several barrels. He was in his Appareskebow, with his gotchartornado in hand, as he got up and glared at the monster he was facing.

???: I'll show you what a real flame is like.

Gotchard splits a fireball directed at him in half. He looks up to find a habanero-themed malgam firing more fire balls at Gotchard.

Gotchard was unfazed, as he uses his weapon to deflect all of the incoming fireballs.

Gotchard: I could barely feel the heat.

Habanero Malgam: You want the heat? I'll bring the heat!

Vines come out of the malgam's arms as it slaps the ground with them. After slapping the ground, the vines become coated with flames as the pepper-themed monster launches them at Gotchard.

Gotchard rolls into the air, as he evades the malgam's vines. He lands on the ground and points the gotchartornado at the malgam, and fires. The hit from the weapon, causes the malgam to stagger back.

Gotchard: Still not hot enough.

Unbeknownst to Gotchard, smoke was rising behind him.

Kotori: Shido!

Gotchard: Huh? What's up Kotori?

Kotori: Your scarf! Your scarf!

Gotchard: Huh? What about my scarf?

It was then Gotchard recognized the smoke rising behind him. He looks at his back to find his scarf on fire.

Gotchard: Crap! Put it out! Put it out! Put it out! Someone help me!

Rinne was watching Gotchard from a distance, as she released a disappointed sigh.

Rinne: sigh... Could you take this more seriously?

Rinne raises her hand, containing her alchemist ring. Her ring shines as she begins using alchemy.

From on top of a nearby building, Spanner watches the commotion down below, as Rinne uses her alchemy to put out the fire. He snickers watching them.

Spanner: Why was he chosen? He's a joke?

(Opening)

(The Next Day)

Shido: Man, last night was tough, but it's nice to have you, Burningnero.

Shido was back in school. He was at his desk as he smiled at the sealed Chemy in his card. The card contains the Chemy he and Rinne had captured last night after defeating the pepper-themed malgam,Burningnero

Burningnero: Burning!

Rinne: You shouldn't be celebrating. I had to help you put out the fire.

Shido: Hey, no need to get serious, Kudo. The flames only caught on my scarf.

Rinne: Alongside the building you were fighting in.

Rinne tosses a newspaper on Shido's desk, revealing a story of a warehouse that had suddenly caught on fire the night before. The young rider could only scratch his cheek, as he couldn't think of anything to say.

Rinne: You need to be more careful. You're lucky that sensei erased everyone's memories. You know the rules.

Shido: Yeah, I know. That alchemists and any form of alchemy, especially chemies, are not to be known by anyone. You know you're such a stickler for rules, I bet that's why you barely have any friends.
