Chapter Thirty Five

James knocked on the door. A horsey woman he recognized as Petunia opened it. "You!" she screeched, "What are you doing here?!" then Petunia saw Tom and Sirius, "And bringing other of your kind here?!"

And there went the stunner in Petunia's direction, followed by another in Vernon's. They stepped inside, Tom remembering where Morgana said Dudley would be. They heard the knocking of little fists on the wood door well blended into the stairs.

"Dudley! Stand back!" James had said and spelled the door to unlock revealing a blonde skinny boy standing there. The boy looked happy and relieved to see him.

Tom had long since turned his attention to Petunia and Vernon. Death had warned that Tom would feel the need to come with and do something to Petunia and Vernon due to the horcrux that was in Morgana's head, meaning he knew everything they did.

James had handed off the boy to Sirius before turning his attention back to the Dursleys. He told himself he never harm a woman unless their names were Walburga Black (well, NoName now) or Lily Evans—but Petunia Evans is quite close. He woke up the two and Tom immediately continued. He had sent Sirius out for a reason. Petunia screamed an awful lot like Walburga and Sirius now had two life times of dealing with the abuse he was dealt, so he didn't want him in here for that no matter how much he wanted revenge for Morgana—and now he thinks for Dudley. It was also the reason he asked Regulus to stay home. He knew Regulus didn't have his previous memories, but knew he bore the brunt of Walburga's abuse after Sirius had to leave.

Neighbors would soon find the Dursleys in an explosion of blood while the closet Dudley was kept in would be well kept and lived in for a small child.

Regulus was looking disturbed at how creepily and sadistically Morgana was giggling as she read how the Dursleys died—must've been good then.

Sirius was looking down at the slumped blond boy. There was something he needed to check and it only proved stronger now, before his only hunch was Remus' reaction to hearing what Dudley experiencing. Granted, it wasn't as long as Morgana's he still reacted as bad and then his wolf accepted Dudley as a pup or cub of his pack immediately without ever having met the child.

He arrived back at Potter Manor, checking Dudley wasn't nauseous or sick, and quickly found Marlene and Remus. "Do you two feel a bond with him?" he asked immediately upon seeing them.

"Yes," Remus immediately said.

Marlene just held her arms out and accepted Dudley, who now stared sleepily at her. "I do," she said.

"Like mine, but stronger than the other cubs," Remus said.

Fenrir, having overheard, spoke up, "Parent bond," he said, making the three look at him. "You are looking at a child in desperate need of a parent and your magic accepts them as yours, your child. I assume from Morgana's creepier than Voldemort giggling that the Dursleys are dead?"

Sirius nodded even though he hadn't been there, he had sensed it. Dudley made a noise of happiness before sinking further into Marlene's embrace.

"You could always blood adopt him, it wouldn't replace his Grindelwald blood so he would still be cousins with Morgana, which I'm sure they want, but it would also hide Dudley Dursley. The name Dudley Dursley would be no more," Fenrir said.

The three paused, just as the others entered again, "I thought you would be blood adopting him by now," James said.

"I just told them," Fenrir said.

"Daddy!" Morgana cheered, skipping down to see him, "Tommy!" she added.

"Mor—" Dudley was cut off by a happy squeal from Morgana, "Dudley!" then she turned from happy to angry, "Don't let that happen to you again, you hear me!?"

Dudley nodded very quickly and she went back to smiling.

"Is Aunt Dorea the only Black in your Line recently?" Andromeda asked James in shock. He simply smiled in return.

"Hurry up, Uncle Orion is returning with the Weasley kids soon," Narcissa said, coming with Draco who looked at the blonde curiously but then gave a wave to Morgana.

They did the whole process and even discussed with Dudley what he wanted his new name to be. He also said he didn't want it revealed until he had changed. The now-ex Dudley Dursley already loved his new parents and through out either version of Petunia and Vernon from his head.
