I don't really know where this is going to go... But it's time I started sharing my about my faith. Just last week I went to a week long church camp, CBM. I had a lot of questions, I still do. But I'm no longer spiritually asleep. I long for the spiritual food, instead of the milk. I guess, in a way this will be a long testimony, maybe a devotional book. We'll see. Let's start with the basics. My name is Kaitlyn, I'm sixteen, going to be a junior in high school.
At CBM, we are split into cabins, boys on one side, girls on the other. I had eight other people in my cabin, including the counsellors. We were each given a counsellor who we would go on life walks with. Life walks were basically where we'd spend some time with the counsellor and they'd ask us about our faith, and make us think more. Each day we had a message by a speaker. This year it was Pastor Pink Davis, a missionary in New Zealand. We also signed up for two workshops; mine were Essential Doctrines by Pastor Vincent Wong, and No Doubt by Tim Lin.
While there, I spoke with my counsellor about getting baptized. Friday night campfire, where we tell stories about what we've learned and encourage each other, I announced that I have decided to get baptized. It will be next month, scheduled for September 13, although they may move it up to the 6th.
I know I'll probably get lots of hate, but I hope I'll be able to defend my faith, and maybe show you the one way to get to heaven. So if you want to comment questions, I'll try to cover them throughout the next few chapters. If not, I'll just cover what's on my mind.
