The next few days have been nothing but amazing. I had stayed over at Arkyn's place throughout the weekend, while Jake was working on figuring out where the hell Anna went off to. He thought it would be best for me to work from home, and stay in one spot.

Well lucky for him, I was not going to object to that matter. So here I was, sitting int the middle of Arlyn's kitchen island, working on some spreadsheets for work. All the while I waited the last couple of minutes for my chocolate chip packet to be done.

Arkyn may know how to cook -- professionally, for that matter --, but it was me that was the breakfast master. And there was nothing he could do or say that would make me think otherwise. I always had a sweet spot for breakfast foods. It was definitely a trait I had inherited from my mother -- well, before she disowned me anyway.

Every once in a good while, there would be a memory of her and I peaking from the walls I graciously put effort into building. My heart missed her, my arms ached to be in hers once more. My brain wants to know where she even is, but at this point in time, why would I even try?

The emotions bubbled in my chest like the grease in the frying pan in front of me. Making scrambled, like usual, my instincts were to start tossing them accordingly so they didn't burn. Thankfully with my actions, the eggs were saved, and plates were made. Once the final food scraps went on each dish, my phone then dinged with a notification from no one other than Arkyn.

A: Finishing up now. Hitting the showers and I'll be up soon. <3

He had snuck off the gym this morning to get in a workout, since he would be working late this evening. I don't know how he does it, but when he does.. It makes him look that much more attractive in my eyes. Business man, stays fit, takes care of the women he cherishes. Inside and out.

My face flush thinking about the night before, and the amount of minutes spent on cardio, would surprise Jake; I'm sure.

I'm surprised he even had the energy to go.

I literally rolled out of bed to get to the kitchen.

As I swing my legs on the rolleychair -- I meant hit when I said rolled.

Forking some eggs into my mouth, and moaning at the feel of fluffiness in my mouth, I raised my arm, snapping a cut of the dinner table. Then, my thumbs dropped a reply.

Me: Good, because I started without you. ;)

Swallowing my food, shovel and repeat, I watched as a GIF popped up on my hoon screen of an angry Yosemite Sam stomping on his western hat. I snorted, exciting from the thread and opening up the file Jake and I had been working on.

Three weeks ago, I had some pictures delivered to my townhome, and it wasn't long after I had gotten home. So whoever had them delivered, was watching, waiting for me to come home that night. The thought alone, of someone watching you out of your line if sight was down right bone chilling. But to have it happen, was a more different feeling.

The days following, leading up to that, Arkyn had gotten some phone calls at his place of work. Someone threatened to take everything from him no matter what it took. We tried everything to recover the number or who it was registered to. Unfortunately, it was evident to come to a dead end -- it was an app that had a distorted voice characteristic on it that was used.

IT wasn't much help since the cameras outside of Arkyn's restaurant were able to locate the person who made the call. But it was just enough to where all you could see was a foot from where the person was standing. No matter the angle, there wasn't much to go off of. With all of our brains combined, it was a definite head scratcher on who the man was. Everything should be so simple to track, and yet there have been so many bumps and detours, I was about to take matters into my own hands.
