I didn't really proof read this one so feel free to point out any mistakes!
(is anyone even reading this?)
___________________I had been at work for almost an hour when the door jingled and in walked the Yogi. I hesitated before going over. She had totally caught me staring yesterday... and she was definitely going to ask about it. I searched the diner for help but no one else was available, so I mustered up the nerve to grab a menu and take her to a seat. She had asked Hayley about me anyways, so I wasn't the only one showing interest.
"Good morning," I said and waved her over. She followed me to a seat and I handed her the menu. "Green tea?" I remembered her pickiness from last time.
She beamed at me. "Yes, thank you."
Wow, okay. I quickly went and got her the tea. "Should I give you a minute?"
She shook her head. "No, I'll get the same as last time." She had a glint in her eye, like she was challenging me to remember.
I did though, and she seemed impressed with me. I placed her order and was cleaning off some tables near her when she spoke. "Hey, can I ask you something?" I left what I was doing and walked over to her table. "Were you by my studio yesterday?"
Oh shit. Think fast.
"Uh, I was... Yeah, I was um... I was thinking about signing up for a class?" What?? NO.
Her eyes lit up. "Oh really? Awesome. Which one?"
"Uh.. I didn't really get a chance to look into it much," I confessed. Which was true.
She thought for a second. "Why don't you come by when you get off work? I can talk to you about a few of them and maybe we can find something that fits with your schedule."
I frowned. "I don't get off until 8 though."
"No worries," she smiled. "I live right above the studio, so I'll still be around."
She was being so sweet compared to the last time we spoke and I was a little taken aback, not to mention drastically more attracted to her. I pictured her in her leggings and sports bra from yesterday. Hm... yoga sounds fantastic. Wait what? Pull yourself together, Jenna.
"Yeah, that sounds great," I smiled at her.
"Great. I'm Tay, by the way."
"Jenna." I flicked the little name tag on my apron. I wanted to keep talking to her but a bell chime sounded from the kitchen, signalling that her food was ready. "Excuse me."
I went to fetch it and by the time I brought it back to her table, she had written her number on a napkin and handed it to me. "Call me when you're at my studio tonight and I'll head down."
I stared at the number in my hand. Why did I feel like she was flirting with me? I started to feel guilty, thinking about Lynn back home.
"Okay. Thanks," I said automatically, afraid of sounding too enthusiastic. I put the number in my pocket and after giving her a small smile, I resumed cleaning tables.
A little while later she hailed me over for the cheque. She payed and after one last smiley "See you tonight," she was gone. I cleared off her table, noting that she had left me a $5 bill in tip. Huh.

It was 8:15 and I was all nerves walking over to her studio. I wasn't even sure why I was going. I was still trying to maintain the cover that I wasn't just totally creeping when she caught me the day before. It was dark out and the street was fairly empty. I felt like I was sneaking around. Lynn had called to hang out and I didn't tell her where I was going. Instead I told her I was having some bad side effects from transitioning my medication, which wasn't a total lie.
