"John B, it's midnight, look at her." Sarah whispered, glancing at their sleeping daughter, completely passed out on John B's shoulder. John B was carrying Val, who had been asleep for at least the last half hour. The pair had taken her to Disney World for the first time, which Sarah insisted was necessary for her, 'because of the magic.' John B didn't get it. He grew up playing with treasure maps, fishing with his dad, and had only ever watched Tangled when Sarah made him watch it with her. Before that, he could confidently say he had never watched a Disney movie. Sarah, on the other hand had been to Disney World several times throughout her childhood, and she had insisted their daughter would not be missing out on some of her favorite memories as a child. John B didn't want to admit it, but the day had been fun, he just wasn't sure how any of them were going to make it through the next six days that followed. The park had just closed, but they were still walking around as they took in the peace and ambiance of a quiet park that had once been filled with laughter, endless chatter, and families that took up every open space.

John B had loved spending the entire day with his family, something they had worked so hard for. Sarah was three months pregnant, so she was sticking to rides that Val would also go on, since Val was only three. "Today was fun." John B whispered, pulling Sarah to his side as he draped his right arm around her shoulder. Nestling her head into his side, she nodded. "So fun...we wore her out." Sarah smiled, watching John B glance down at their sleeping daughter who had no idea what she was missing out on right now. "Can you carry me now?" Sarah asked, giggling slightly. She was pushing Val's stroller, housing all of their water bottles, and some leftover snacks from the day. "I don't know if I can manage carrying you with babygirl here too." He said, rubbing her right arm and kissing the top of her hair. "But what about me?" Sarah pouted, sticking her lip out a little. "I'm carrying your second child over here, and my feet hurt." She groaned, playing into the act. "Oh my dramatic baby, huh?" He asked, raising a brow and smirking. "I was your first baby." She nodded and smiled, squeezing his side as they walked. "You'll always be my first baby, but we do have other babies now too." John B smiled as Val readjusted herself in his hold.

"Only one, this one still has some cooking to do." She said as she rubbed her belly, the bump almost nonexistent, but John B insisted she had started to show. "I can't believe I was the one who suggested this trip, pregnant and all." Sarah laughed, grabbing her Stanley from the stroller's cup holder. "You insisted it would all be worth it, 'for the magic.' Whatever that means." He waved his arm for emphasis before resting it back down against Sarah's shoulders again. "Did you see her face when she saw Minnie today?" Sarah asked him, dead serious. "Yeah, she did look so happy..." He trailed off, knowing Sarah was right and that Val had been mesmerized by the park today. Every new character, ride, or parade, she was smiling brightly and dancing her little three year old heart out. "I know my baby girl, and I'm sorry babe, but a childhood without a Disney movie is so sad." She laughed slightly, but knew Big John was never the type of dad to sit there and watch that. But John B was, she honestly didn't know who taught him to love her like he did, but she wouldn't ever complain about that. She wholeheartedly appreciated him. "You're such a good dad, John B." She looked up slightly into his eyes. "Oh Sar.." He said, pulling them over to a bench for a second. It was twelve fifteen at this point, but no one else was around, and they weren't gonna get kicked out. Readjusting Val, John B set her down in the stroller, and she stirred slightly but settled back into her slumber soon after.

"Sarah, baby." He said as he pulled her into his arms. She wrapped her arms tightly around him as a few tears escaped her eyes. "I love you so much John B. Today has been everything I've ever wanted. Just us. With her. Our family." She said, wiping her tears slightly. Pulling back from their hug, John B cupped her face with both hands, making eye contact with her as his thumbs softly wiped her tears. "Baby, don't cry." He said, frowning a little at her tears. "I promise they are happy. I'm so happy." She smiled, not breaking their eye contact. He leaned down slightly, moving his hands from her cheeks, to her jawline, caressing her skin softly. Leaning up to his lips, she connected them as they met in the middle. Having spent the day together, they had not kissed since this morning throughout all the hustle and bustle of the day, and not wanting to seem like overly obsessed parents, now that they had their daughter. The kiss was soft, nothing too crazy, but it held the perfect amount of love that they had always shared for one another. It said everything from thank you to I love you.

Breaking apart for air, she smiled up at him, completely content with how their day as a Routledge family of three had gone. "I love you Sarah, you are everything I have ever wanted. You make life so much fun." He whispered, giving her forehead a sweet kiss, sealing the deal with his words. "Oh look.." He turned his head slightly, noticing that the castle had no one in front of it, a perfect time for a few photos. "We should go take a picture." He whispered, his thumb still lingering on her jawline. "You sure?" She asked, her eyebrows raising. "Of course, I've always wanted one of you." He smiled, pulling back as he started to push Val's stroller in that direction. "Just me?" She asked, taken aback as she turned to follow after him. "Just you. My first baby who gave me all of this." He gestured to their sleeping daughter, and to the life she was carrying inside her. "I just cried, not sure I'm necessarily picture ready." She laughed as they approached the castle, still completely illuminated with purple and blue light. "You're always picture ready." He told her, ushering her to go stand in front of it. "Okay, okay!" She said laughing as she trotted over to stand in front of it. She smiled, doing a few different poses for him as he snapped away. "Should I take one with our sleeping Vallie girl?" She asked, pointing at their exhausted daughter. "Yes, we can project it at her wedding, she'll love that!" John B said as he pushed the stroller over to Sarah. She leaned down, pointing to their sleeping daughter as she smiled. "Look at my girls." John B said, enjoying snapping photos of them. "I wish she was awake." Sarah laughed, posing as she pretended to push the stroller and look like a worn out mom, which if she was honest, she was.

"We need a selfie, one of all of us." She said, squatting back down to be level with Val as he made his way over, squatting down to her level as well. He readjusted the camera angle, making sure the three of them were in frame, and that the castle could still be seen in the background. She took the phone from him, looking at their cute selfie. "They are perfect, and shall see my instagram tomorrow morning." She said confidently, John B holding out a hand for her as she regained her balance. "How early is tomorrow's start time?" He asked her as they finally made their way down Main Street and out of the park's gates. "What are you thinking, six am out of the hotel?" She joked, poking at him. "Sarah, seriously?" He asked, groaning thinking about the short five hours of sleep he would get if he was lucky. "No, you know I'm joking." She laughed, looking at his face as he looked slightly more relieved. "Thank God, but seriously, what time do we need to wake up?" He asked her, making their way into their hotel, which happened to be very close to the park's exit, which John B was eternally grateful for. "Like 8? Can we make that work?" She asked, as John B's face had a mixture of no and maybe written all over it. "We need to get in the park early so we can do princess meet and greets tomorrow." Sarah told him, looking at her phone to see when the princesses typically came out in the mornings.

"Got it, we can make it work. But just for my girls." He smiled, holding the hotel door open for her as she walked inside. Making their way down the hall and to the elevator, the pair walked inside, Val still fast asleep in the stroller. "I need a shower, I'm so hot." Sarah said, gathering her hair into her signature messy bun as they arrived at their floor. "Yeah you are." John B smirked. "Can I join?" He asked, pushing the stroller out of the elevator and down the hall as they finally arrived at their room. "No! This is Disney, no funny business. You know that." Sarah said as she pushed on his chest, taking Val's stroller from him as she pressed the key card to the sensor and walked into their room. "Worth a shot." He said as he embraced her from behind and kissed the side of her head. "I love you, Sar. Today was a lot of fun." He told her as his lips met hers for another soft kiss. "See, life outside the cut can sometimes be fun too." She giggled as she pulled back from the kiss and hugged him, her cheek pressed up against his chest. "I love you John B, can you put Val to bed while I go shower? We have another long day ahead of us tomorrow." She giggled, walking away from him as she winked. Completely entranced by her, he nodded, taking Val from the stroller and helping her into her pjs for the night.

While he was dreading that eight am alarm the next morning, he wouldn't trade anything for the life they had created together and spending the next six days with his family was something he couldn't wait for.
