Thanks to the outstanding treatment from Nurse Joys, Audinos, and Blisseys, Ash was completely healed and discharged from the Alolan Pokemon Centre one week after his ultimate battle against Leon.

In the meantime, Gary and the Champions had formulated a plan to infiltrate PsychicMagic's lair, and they left swiftly afterwards. Most of Ash's friends and rivals also only stayed on the first day when Ash was hospitalized, leaving only Serena, Delia, and Professor Kukui's family behind.

Red didn't join the infiltration mission based on what they had planned, yet he also avoided staying close to Ash when Delia was around. After years of disappearance, an emotional scar had been formed between them. It would be hard to stick around for the Former Kanto Champion.

Ash thanked them for taking care of him during this period. Especially Serena, since she was "technically" not related to Ash. Delia is his mom, Kukui and Burnet are his guardians. Serena is "just" a girlfriend – she doesn't have to go this far.

A part of Ash was ashamed of himself. For the entire tournament, it was basically Serena taking care of his food and living. He almost didn't do anything to repay her favor. Now that the tournament was over, Serena was still taking care of him.

"It's not fair to Serena," Ash thought to himself, "I must do something for her."

He picked up the phone, "Hi, it's Ash. Would you please do me a favor?"

The day when Ash was discharged from the Pokemon Centre, Delia offered him to come back to Pallet Town for a celebration. Kukui and Burnet said they would also be there.

"Thanks for the offer," Ash smiled, "But before that, I want to spend some time with Serena."

The adults were surprised that Ash rejected them. Even Serena was surprised: this was probably her first time hearing Ash saying something like this. She knew their relationship had strengthened.

Kukui and Burnet hugged Ash, "Got it. Enjoy your time. Stay in touch on WhatsUp."

Delia patted his head, "Have fun, but don't do anything too overboard, okay? Serena is a good girl, know your limits."

Both Ash and Serena blushed. The dense boy didn't know what the "overboard" things were. But Serena already had this whole "action" implanted in her corrupted brain, thanks to the many girl comics she had been reading...

Is she ready when Ash does it to her?

Serena turned into a steam engine just by thinking about this. Her face became flushed, and she took deep breaths from the excitement.

Ash looked at her and held her hand, "Why are you so red, Serena? You caught a fever? Let's catch some fresh air outside. I will tell you what I planned we should do next."

Serena nodded as the couple walked out of the Pokemon Centre lovingly.

Taking the plane, Ash and Serena arrived in Kalos at dawn. Our two heroes were heading to a specific place.

Serena held Ash's hand, "You still haven't told me where we are going."

Ash summoned Dragonite, "Hey buddy, fly us to the Coumarine City. I will show you the way."

The two hopped onto Dragonite as they flew to the destination. Ash didn't explain too much about what he planned to do there, leaving Serena in deep thought about what was special in that city. Still, she decided not to ask the question; it could ruin the surprise he had planned for her.
