Chapter Six - "Do Everything"

She could not believe her eyes. Mingyu wrapped his arms around her but Haneul ran to the other side of the road not caring about her almost being hit by another car. Going to that thing was the thing in her mind, only.

She knew she was not allowed to go there because of the yellow tape that was there. Haneul tried to open the car door.

He was caught in an accident.

Soon, ambulance sirens could be heard coming their way. Suddenly, one of the policemen came. "Miss, you can't go here unless you're the boy-"

"No! I'm not gonna leave Jeonghan here!" She yelled, trying hard to open the door. The car was all broken. Bumper was taken off and the sides were destroyed, the reason why she couldn't open the door. "Please, take him out of there! Please."

The paramedics came and that made her step out of the way. Rescue team had also arrived and they did everything to take the unconscious boy out of the broken car. The mirrors were all shattered but he still cannot be pulled out because he was trapped in something. Half of his face was covered with blood and had cuts because of the small pieces of glass.

Haneul watched as they try to do everything but she was taken away by Mingyu and Min. "N-no, I'm not leaving Jeonghan here. I'm not leaving." She whined.

"They're going to take him to the hospital, Haneul." Min tried to calm her down.

And finally, Jeonghan was taken out and was placed on the stretcher. His leg was full of blood because it was trapped and a part of the car had gone inside his skin according to the rescue team.

"Let's just meet him in the hospital, please Haneul." Min said.

"Let's go." Mingyu stated leading the two girls.

-

"Don't cry, Haneul. It's okay." Min tried comforting the poor girl but she couldn't stop crying.

"I shouldn't have let him take me to school, I shouldn't have let h-oh my gosh." Haneul was crying non stop.

Mingyu came with a bottle of water for Haneul. "Here, drink some water."

Haneul drank while Min wiped her tears. "It'll be oka-"

"No it's not okay! Jeonghan is not stable, he's not doing fine. He's unconscious. He's hurt and I... I just can't." She buried her face in her hands.

"I'll take care of this." Someone said making Min and Mingyu move away. "Haneul."

The girl looked up only to see Wonwoo looking at her. "Wonwoo." And she broke down crying on his shoulders. He hugged the girl tighter and rubbed her back. "Please do everything. And I mean everything. Please let him live."

"Yes, yes we will." Wonwoo said.

"Okay, he's attractive and a nurse." Min murmured but she was elbowed lightly by Mingyu. "Okay okay, sorry."

"I'll go home at 9:30 and it's already 9. Stay at my office for a while then we'll go home, okay? Let's go." Wonwoo said as he helped her stand. Wrapping his arms around her, she placed her arms on his waist.

-

"Do you want me to stay or?" Wonwoo approached.

"I don't know." She replied simply.

He sighed and just remained silent. "I'll just go to my next patient." And she nodded.

He went out of his office (yes he has an office because he was like the head nurse) and stopped for a while. He held his heart part in the chest and shook his head. Wonwoo sighed and continued walking.

He went to the operating room where Jeonghan was in. "He broke a bone in the leg." Someone told the doctor. "And his head-forehead part needs to be stitched. It got cut open and we still don't know how it happened."

Wonwoo approached the doctor. "He'll live right?" He asked. The doctor just nodded his head. "Do you want me to help, doctor?"

"I saw the girl. Just take her home." The doctor smiled. "You too."

Wonwoo nodded and went back to his office. "They told me to leave early." He said to Haneul but she was sleeping while sitting with her head on the table. "But you're sleeping so I'll wait til you wake up."

He sat on the chair in front of his table and looked at the girl. Although he couldn't see her face, he knew that she cried to sleep. He didn't get it why Jeonghan was so important to her that she cried like that. All Wonwoo knows was they were friends.

After 20 minutes, she woke up. Wonwoo smiled at her. "Let's go?"

"Where?" Haneul said absentmindedly. "Jeonghan?"

"He's still in the operating room. Let's go home for now. We could visit him tomorrow."

-

They arrived at Haneul's place and she refused to eat. "I'm not hungry, Wonwoo. I just ate."

"No," Wonwoo stated. "You have to eat. I've been hearing your stomach growling."

"No! It's not growling."

Suddenly it became silent that all they could hear was her stomach asking for food. Wonwoo raised a brow and held the spoon with porridge near her mouth. "Now eat." He looked so serious it was scary.

He gently shoved it into her mouth but she took the spoon from him. "I can feed myself."

"Do you need anything else?" He asked and she shook her head.

"Thank you Wonwoo but you can go home now." Haneul said.

"I won't go home until you're fine." Wonwoo responded. "After eating rest for a while then sleep."

"I still need to go to school." She insisted.

"Screw school. You must rest. I'll talk to the principal and tell him or her everything." He said gently.

"N-no you don't get it. I'm supposed to go to school right now. Or else I'll lose the scholarship."

"That is why I am going to talk the principal, Haneul. Just listen to me." He replied immediately.

Good 30 minutes had passed and Haneul was in bed, sleeping. Wonwoo sat on the couch and looked around. It was his first time entering her home. He loved how everything was organized. It was really clean inside. Though it was small, he could still feel like he's at home. The couch was comfy and it smelled good-like a home he didn't have.

Wonwoo spent his childhood staying at his grandparents' house. His high school life wasn't as happy as anyone could think. He wanted to go to an Art School so he did but it was far from his house so he stayed at a dorm. On his college, Wonwoo still stayed at a dorm. He never went home because it was too awkward to be there. His parents are abroad and the only person there is the caretaker. And being in Haneul's home made him feel good.

He stared at the closed curtain and Haneul was sleeping soundlessly. It was a good thing. She wasn't crying or anything. Not because it's annoying, it was just-he cannot stand to see the girl crying.

An hour had passed and he fell asleep on sitting position with his head thrown back on the back part of the couch. It was a tiring day.

-

"Hey, I'm sorry if Haneul rejected you." Min said looking at Mingyu apologetically but being serious isn't her thing so she laughed. "Can't believe a girl rejected you!"

They were finally back at school.

Mingyu frowned and ruffled her hair making it messy. "Hey! I fixed this for an hour!"

"Hey, since she rejected me..." Mingyu said starting to look serious. "Will you be my date?"

Min stopped laughing and looked at the boy as if he was crazy. "I'm not your type." She said chuckling.

"Ideal type could change." Mingyu stated.

"You like Haneul, crazy."

"I asked her to be my date but that doesn't mean I like her." He said. "So will you be my date?"

She sighed and replied, "Okay fine."
