<Skyler's POV>

I wake up surrounded by other people who look as hungover as I am. The last thing I remember is getting so drunk I could barely see and then falling into the carpet asleep. I'm still at Mitch's house, but besides my headache, purple hickeys, and black make up clad eyes, I feel normal. Rob is asleep next to me among the dozens of others. My hand grabs his shoulder and shakes it. His eyes flutter open and look at me. "What?" He asks annoyed.

"I'm going hom- I mean I'm leaving," I correct myself.

"Whatever, see you tonight maybe?" I nod my head and then stumble out of the house. I take a breath of fresh air and begin to walk home. I must look like a sight. Disheveled girl walks around Tulsa in wrinkly clothes and high heels. Her neck covered in purple bruises and her eyes stained with night sky black melted make up. Eventually I make it to the house and the first thing I do is take a few aspirin. Kicking my shoes off carelessly they hit a wall and make a loud noise. I hear shuffling coming from the bedroom and then Dallas enters the kitchen with Tibby awake and alert in his arms.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He asks confused. I ignore his glare and look carelessly through the fridge. His eyes run up and down my body. They stick to my neck. "And what the hell are those doing there?" Dally questions, pointing at my throat.

"Well you see this is also my house and those dear child are called hickeys," I say sarcastically. Dallas rolls his eyes.

"I meant who gave them to you," Dally says matter of factly. I brush the hair out of my face carelessly.

"Oh my new interest."

<Dally's POV>

My heart literally shatters. The one girl I have ever truly loved has betrayed me already. Skyler already moved on. Was I really that useless to her. Did none of the fun times we had together matter to her. I just stand there speechless with our daughter smiling unknowingly in my arms. She doesn't know how destroyed her parents really are. All of my memories with Skyler flash through my mind like a movie. Skyler stands in front of me awaiting a response. "Dally?" She asks a little annoyed. I shake my head a little.

"Alright then um, I'm going to go see Chris, have fun doing whatever it is you do now." It's a struggle to talk like I don't care. It's even hard to look at her.

"Okay," Skyler mumbles as she pops the aspirin in her mouth. I go back in my room and change Tibby and I. Then I walk straight past Skyler without saying a word. As I walk down the street I don't even care when I see other guys mocking me. Don't even listen when they taunt me. Tibby is still cooing and playing with the hem of my jacket as we walk, and she does it even as we reach the Curtis's doorstep. I know they all kinda hate me right now, but I need to talk to them. When I walk in everyone is there.

When they hear the door open and close they all become silent and look at me. "She kicked you out already," Kieth jokes with a serious tone. I shake my head and sit on the ground in the living room. Chris has a glare locked on me.

"She didn't kick me out, I just couldn't stay there with her right now," I mumble. Johnny talks to me from the couch.

"Why not? Because you broke her heart," he suggests.

"Because she's breaking mine," I say. They all stare at me. Johnny and Two-Bit change their expressions from angry to sympathetic, but everyone else stays angry so I explain, "she came home this morning, hungover, smelling like bunch of liquid chemical and more cigarette smoke than even I can tolerate, and she has already slept with someone else. That's not the worst part, she didn't even glance at Tibby, it was like she didn't care about her at all," I explain with my voice cracking.

"How do you know she slept with someone already?" Darry asks.

"Hickeys," I say pointing to my neck, "and she kinda hinted it." Steve looks at me alarmed.

"She already moved on?" He asks almost worried. I nod sulkily. Chris is now the only one in the room that still looks slightly angry at me.

"She didn't even embrace or look at Tibby?" Pony asks surprised. I shake my head. Only now does Chris's face soften.

"This has gotten way to depressing," Two-Bit says. I force a little laugh.

"Well I have something that may lighten the mood," Chris says while holding up a letter.

"Is that from Soda?" Steve asks quickly. Chris nods and then begins to open the letter. We all wait anxiously around the room.

Chris begins to read aloud, "Chris, I want everyone to hear this but there are so many errors I need Pony to read it aloud so he can correct me as he reads so it doesn't sound so poorly written." We all laugh at that. Chris hands Pony the letter.

"Okay hopefully this is Pony reading it aloud. Hi guys it's Soda, the only pretty one in the group. I hope you are all well especially Skyler and Dally. How is that baby treating you?" I look down and hide the tears that are forming in my eyes, "Chris tells me her name is Tibby. I hope that you all are helping Chris with my son Josh. Steve you get a free pass since you can't walk that fast or hold him cause your hands are to full with yours crutches," Pony pauses as we all laugh a little, "I'd like you all to know that you won't have to watch over my son much longer because I will be returning in two weeks, with Lena Steve, to come and take care of him myself. I send you all little bits of my handsomeness and hope you can survive another two weeks without me, love you Chris, and Pony and Darry I miss you my brothers. Oh and one last thing, two weeks is actually a long time, so don't fuck anything up in that time period Two-Bit, Johnny I'm trusting you to make sure of that. From, Sodapop better than all of you Curtis," Pony finishes. We all sit there with smiles plastered on our faces. It's almost like I could hear Soda speaking instead of Pony.

"God I miss him," Two-Bit exclaims. We all nod in agreement.

"What's it like Steve? Seeing Soda have to be violent?" Johnny asks. Steve closes his eyes tight as if recalling a memory. His fingers pinch his lips. He moves uncomfortably in his seat before opening his eyes.

"It's terrible, like seeing him, but not seeing the real him," Steve eventually gets out. A tear slips down Chris's face and she clasps her hands together. Her knuckles turn white.

"What's it like? War I mean," Pony asks innocently with his eyes wide. Steve's eyes squeeze shut and now I know he is caught up in a memory. His teeth clench down on his lip. It's clear to see he doesn't wanna talk about it.

"Pony back off," Darry says as kind as possible. Steve shakes his head.

"It's fine Darry, I just was remembering something... um Pony it's like this constant feeling of fear buried deep in you, like it's wiring you, yet everyone tries to keep so positive.

Every one is forcing a smile onto their face even though you know that really they are feeling the same fear you are. Then there is taking a life. It can't be taken back. No matter how many times you tell yourself it's for your your country and family. It still haunts you. I've counted every man I've killed," Steve explains. We all sit there in shock. Soda and Steve are going through this tragedy. I can't even imagine that mental pain.

"How many?" Two-Bit asks.

"Thirty," Steve answers coldly. Tears well up in his eyes. "Thirty dead on the spot by my accord," he continues. Chris slides over to Steve and rubs his shoulder.

"It's okay, it's not your fault the world is a shit hole," Chris says, trying desperately to sooth Steve, who's eyes are closed once again.

"Newsflash guys, we are some screwed up greasers."
