<Soda's POV>

The first place I think to go is Steve's new place. I knock on the door slowly with my head down. After only a few seconds I hear the door open and lift my head up. Steve open's the door smiling widely with a cigarette between his lips. Upon looking at my sad face he frowns. Before he can ask anything I speak up. "Thought you quit for Skyler?" Steve bites his lip while removing the stick from his mouth.

"Ya... ya I did, but she ain't around, this is my first one in weeks, you okay buddy?" Steve asks, pressing the cigarette into an ash tray on a mini table in the small foyer. I nod and hold in my tears.

"Can we um, talk alone?" I ask sadly. Steve nods.

"Ya, Lena is in the house, the roof sound good?" Steve offers. I nod carelessly and Steve steps out of the house. We climb up a tree that is near the roof. Steve goes up first, jumping swiftly from branch to branch and branch to roof. I follow in his path and soon join him on the roof top. My knees are tucked up by my chest and I hold them tightly. Steve sighs noisily. "So what's all this about?" He asks. I take a deep breath of the fresh air and then let it out, loudly.

"Chris never told either of us, her best friends, that she was sexually abused by her father and I had to find out by her telling Leala," I tell him bluntly. Steve stares at me intently and does not move. I can barely hear him breathe. He groans and stomps his foot on the roof angrily.

"Fuck, Soda," he snarls. I nod my head slowly.

"Before we got married she always told me she was a virgin and that she wanted to wait," I explain, "I don't even know if I'm mad at her or not," I exclaim as I stare out at the sky. Steve bites his lips and nods. "Why wouldn't she tell me Steve?" I ask my voice cracking. A single tears forms in my eye. I try my hardest to hold it back, but it manages to roll down my cheek anyways. Steve clasps his hand onto my shoulder and half hugs me into him.

"I don't know man. Maybe it was a way to pretend like what happened wasn't real, or a way to keep the dream of you taking her virginity alive," Steve suggests, "I hear stuff like that is a big deal for broads." I laugh quietly.

"Ya, but this isn't just a broad, this is Chris, your best friend and my wife," I exclaim, the tears finally escaping my eyes in a wave the size of a tsunami. Steve nods knowingly.

"I know buddy, I know."

<Chris's POV>

I asked Darry to drive me to Dally's house. Two-Bit insisted that he would drive me so Darry could stay with Leala. Darry agreed to the plan as long as Two-Bit brings the truck back by nine. I rounded up Josh and Two-Bit handed me Henry. With the two babies in my arms I jump into the passenger seat and Kieth behind the wheel. He drives slowly for what seems like the first time in forever. The silence in the car is deafening, overwhelming even. Tension building with each second that passes. "I get why you did it you know. Not telling Soda I mean," Two-Bit explains. I do not look at Kieth, but rather told two children in my arms, sitting on my baby bump. I nod slowly.

"Okay," I say quietly. Two-Bit sighs.

"Talk to me Chris," he begs. I whip my glance at the blue eyed boy.

"What do I need to say? I lied to my husband and all of my friends! Is that what you want to hear?" I exclaim. Two-Bit lets out another large gulp of air.

"No Chris, I want you to tell me how you feel," he explains without looking away from the road.

"How I feel? Horrible, uncomfortable, violated!" I yell. Josh starts to cry in my arm and Henry looks at me with big sad eyes. Josh's screaming adds to my head ache, but I ignore it. I hush him and rub his small tufts of dark hair, planting small kisses on his forehead and whispering words of comfort into his ear. When we arrive at Dally's I don't move for a second.

"I'm sorry Chris," he says. I nod an place Henry on the seat as I get out of the truck.

"Ya I know." And with that I slam the door shut and don't look back. With Josh in my right arm I listen as Two-Bit drives slowly away. Nearing the door, I take a deep breath and listen before opening it.

"So should we tell the others?" Skyler asks.

"We should ask Darry?" Dallas replies. I open the door and find the couple talking at the small kitchen table.

"Ask Darry what?" I ask curiously: Dally turns white.

"Nothing, what's up baby sis?" He asks oddly. I shrug.

"Soda found out about what dad did," I tell him under my breath as the tears start to pour down my face. Dallas quickly stands from the table and rushes over to me. Never once hesitating to hug me tightly. Skyler takes Josh from my arms and I watch her as she brings Tibby and Josh into the nursery. She returns to us empty handed after closing the babies room door behind her. Dallas continues to clutch my body to his as he leads me towards the small couch. We sit down on the soft cushions as I listen to Skyler clang around in the kitchen.

As soon as Dallas begins to let go of my I begin to sob horribly. The feeling of utter haplessness fills my chest and my body is racked with the awful sounds of my misery. I hear Dallas begin to cry into my neck. "Oh golly, Christina, please don't cry, please don't be upset, I can't take you being sad," Dallas pleads, his words interrupted by hiccups caused by his light tears. His hands rub up and down my back slowly as he hold onto me with all of his might, being careful of my pregnant belly.

"I can't help it, if our marriage goes down the drain, it's because of me!" I exclaim into his shirt. I feel Dallas shake his head.

"No, it's our fathers fault Chrissy, you can't possibly blame yourself for this," Dally claims. I nod my head slowly.

"I just can't bare to think about it and having Soda not know was a way to keep it feeling like it never happened," my words come out shaky and every inch of my body trembles. Dallas pulls away from me and I stare into my brothers eyes. My eyes skim over the features of his face. Sometimes I forget that Dallas is my brother, the one person that was always there for me. The one person who I know would protect me with his life. His eyes mimic mine, his lips are set in the same form as mine. He is the one person I will always have.

I look over to Skyler who is walking over with a mug full of steaming liquid for me. I smile at her kindness. It's nice to know that she knows that once in a while I need my brother to myself.

With a loud clatter the front door is slammed open. The mug slips from Skyler's fingers. It shatters on the hard floor, dressing the dark wood with shards of sharp white glass. A loud ear piercing scream erupts from Skyler's mouth. Her grey eyes full of fear. This is when Dallas whips his head towards the scene. The color drains from his face, leaving it a plain shade of consistent white. Worry fills his eyes, he looks as if he has seen a ghost. Focusing my own vision on the figure in the door, I see it's the one person I am always going to fear. My body becomes frozen in fear. His face looks the same, only with a few aging marks added to his pale skin. The mans eyes are still the lifeless black holes. I look deeply into them and every memory surfaces, forcing my mind into oblivion. His wispy dark hair falls into his hair, sticking to his forehead with sweat.

My father has returned.
