Chapter 4 – The Tune of Souls
I woke up in bed as I heard my alarm ring loudly beside my table. Looking at the clock I saw that it was already 11:00 am. I ruffled my brown hair as I got up and went inside my washroom and looked at the mirror. A vivid reflection of myself had come across me and shortly afterwards I opened the faucet, wet my hands as I cupped some water and splashed it across my face to wake myself up.
Then just as I was about to freshen up, I began to hear a tune. It was so vivid at the same time it was elusive as it rang inside my head. The tune seemed to calm me down as it reminded me of the past, when my brother was still alive.
“Berdoa kepada saya (Pray for me)
Zoon des mensen (Son of man)
T-ma se rodí (For Darkness is born)
Ze stínu světla” (From light’s shadows)
That was what I was able to pick from the hymn I heard from my mind and even if I got the words, I don’t know what the hell it means. And why did that tune play anyway? Does this have anything to do with me? I do not know I really don’t.
Moments later as I have freshened up and fixed myself for the day, I now walked out of my room as I was dressed in my school uniform except I didn’t wear the upper jacket and I only wore the white shirt as a top and my school pants and boots. I had been out of action for a while as I held my sheathed katana on my left hand which was still wrapped in gauze. A trip to the training center of Treyah Battle Academy really sounds refreshing right now.
I walked the halls and minutes after I had reached a huge metal door that had the words “ROOM 4-F27, TRAINING CENTER” engraved on the huge chunk of metal that had been in front of me. I swipe my school ID on the card swipe present on the side and I witnessed the door open and I went in soon afterwards.
The training center here in our battle Academy was divided into 7 floors and each floor contained monsters that suited the level of each room. To break it down to all of you, levels 1-3 contained the average everyday monsters (Batscythes, Flinch Goblins etc.), while levels 4-5 contained the slightly stronger monsters (Megido Fangs, Gargantoyles etc.) and levels 6-7 contained elite monsters (Oshus, Behemoth clones, Frail Komodos etc.)
Personally I train at levels 5-7 in order to keep my strength up and to be more aware while the others I don’t know about them.
I made my way towards the lift that would take me to level 6 and as the door opened I stepped out of the lift and immediately a huge raging inferno bull had charged against me as it attempted to impale me with its horns. I shifted and evaded to the side as I drew my katana out.
“That’s what I’m talking about.” I smirked as I shifted into a fighting stance and got ready to dispatch this monster in front of me.

General POV
The raging inferno bull let out fires from its nose as its big forearms tapped the ground and small earthquakes can be felt as it readied itself for another charge. Its hind legs seemed to be smaller than its front legs as it had human-like hands with claws as nails. Its body was shaped of that of a conventional bull but its forearms stuck out as they were huge and muscular.
