Chapter 10 – True Intentions

Two grey void portals had now appeared in the damp ruins in the fields of Gieldan in the outskirts of the Zoroa region and two Sentis members came out from it, namely Fraus and Ketzerei. Both members of the Sentis now walked on as they were sent by Verrath to investigate the darkness disturbance that had occurred in the area not too long ago. There is tension present between the two as they walked together but no word was said between them.

Fraus and Ketzerei continued to walk on, but as they looked for the disturbance of darkness, they both felt something eerie in the air.

“Did you sense that?” the hoarse voiced man asked the platinum blonde haired girl.

“Darkness is strong here. No wonder the master wants it to be eradicated.” Fraus replied to him. “But at the same time, he is hoping that we capture this darkness, because we could use this to power up the Yanmiege.” She added as they continued to walk on.

It wasn’t long before the two Sentis members had finally reached the source of the disturbance as they made their way in the ruins and saw a hollow opening in front of them. They both went through the hollow arched opening and past it they saw a pedestal set up in the middle of a circular seal that they seemed to be stepping on. On the pedestal there was a cluster of darkness energy present.

Fraus then went ahead of Ketzerei as she tried to touch the dark energy, but immediately it stung her arm just a little bit as she was forced to pull away from the pedestal.

“It’s protected.” Ketzerei said to her.

“There’s a summoning going on.” She replied to the hoarse voiced man. “But where is the enchanter?” she added as she looked around.

After looking around for quite some time, Fraus had concluded that there was a summoning yes but the enchanter/summoner was missing and the rogue energy on the pedestal was just left with the rouge energy present there.

“You think you can suppress it now?” Ketzerei asked her once more.

“Why should I do it? This is your mission after all.” Fraus said as she stepped back from the pedestal and turned to walk to the arched entrance.

Ketzerei now went near the pedestal with a sour expression on his face as he stretched out his hand towards the darkness. Slowly but surely he was containing the darkness on his hands as he was careful not to corrupt the pure darkness energy with his own grey spirit energy. He concentrated as he focused on his task and in a short while the darkness from the pedestal had already disappeared and it had vanished from his hand as well. It seems that he has contained the darkness inside him with no worry.

“That was easy.” Fraus said as she saw the hoarse voiced man get near her.

“We are nothings, of course it’s easy. Especially if the darkness has nothing to corrupt.” He added as he walked ahead of the female member.

The both walked on and as usual there was still uneasiness between the two members as they had not exactly met eye to eye. When they had gotten to a wide open space near the ruins, Ketzerei suddenly stopped and this had baffled the female member of the Sentis that was with him.

“Why are you stopping? We need to go back as soon as possible.” Fraus said to him in a straightforward manner.

“The master suspects me doesn’t he?” Ketzerei then said as grey spirit energy flared around him as well as the darkness that he had gotten from the pedestal earlier.

Fraus immediately reacted as she drew out her chakram-shuriken weapon and held it by her side as she let out grey spirit energy out as well. She used her energy to protect her from the flaring energy coming from Ketzerei and now she was sure that his loyalty to Verrath is very questionable.
