Chapter 7 – Business as Always
“So what brings you here idiot?” Aizen said as he took his flask from his waist and drank his favorite bourbon liquor. “I guess this isn’t a social visit or even a thank you visit, since you didn’t bring me more alcohol.” He added.
Seiryu was just at awe as he was still speechless. He felt his master’s energy and it did not deteriorate. It was constant as always and he knew too well that his master was a very strong combatant.
“I wish…to master my darkness and to also learn the last remaining secrets of the Satusujin Ken.” The long haired student said as he knelt down on one knee and bowed his head.
Aizen just scoffed and laughed out loud after he had heard what his apprentice had said and this caused a problem for Seiryu. He felt that his shishou was not taking him seriously and he knew this because his master just turned his back on him as he drank more from his silver flask.
“Please! I need your help shishou…” Seiryu pleaded as he dropped on both knees this time and bowed again.
“Why do you fight?” Aizen then suddenly asked his student and this question alone already brought problems for the long haired student.
“I fight…” he tried to reply. “Because…” he added.
“Stop lying to yourself!” the master swordsman said to him as he again turned to face his pupil. “You’ve lost track on why you fight.” He added.
“Why do I fight?” Seiryu then thought to himself “The answer seems a bit blurred now…” he thought to himself.
“When I first found you 6 years ago, I took you in for you to survive. After that I decided to teach you the Jigoku Mugen Satsujin Ken because potential is strong in you and I remember asking you the same question.” Aizen said as he dropped his silver flask on the floor. “And do you know what you answered?” he added.
“I wanted to fight to be stronger. I didn’t want to suffer my brother’s fate…” Seiryu then responded immediately.
“Immediately I knew that you were lost. You feared death, but the irony of it is that you carry darkness energy inside you, an energy which’s sole purpose is to bring death.” Aizen said to him. “But nonetheless I taught you anyway as I tried to change your perspective but I was at fault in the end.” He added. “Your darkness hadn’t sprouted as I taught you swordsmanship that has an affiliation with the darkness.” He added.
Seiryu just knelt down as he was helpless. He listened to the statements that his master had told him which had included the mistakes that he made.
“And that had caused an immediate suppression of the darkness inside you and your fear of death just helped in flaring up the blackness of your soul. It led to you secluding yourself which fed the evil aspect of the darkness energy inside you. I was at fault when I taught you as I hoped to change your ways but every day you trained you were motivated by the wrong reason to fight and that day led you to me now.” Aizen told him. “You are an incomplete swordsman so I urged you to go to the academy to learn for yourself on what you are missing, but it seems I made a mistake on that too. Seiryu, you still are incomplete as of today.” He added. “You are a product of multiple mistakes!” he shouted at him.
“Which is why I came to you…I want to learn again…” Seiryu said helplessly.
“You hope to control your darkness in your current condition? Don’t make me laugh.” Aizen said as he now started to walk away from the long haired student.
“Please…shishou…” he now said as he pleaded heavily.
