Chapter 26 – Tension Rising Part I

Seiryu and Yue ran out of the elevator as they had reached the ground floor of the battle academy. Immediately they made their way towards the central sector and what had come across them was a warzone in the central sector. Students from the battle academy held on their weapons as they tried to keep the grey crystal fiends at bay. Yue and Seiryu made their way across the deeper warzon as they also slashed and eliminated a few grey fiends that were in their way as well.

“Yue!” someone shouted at her and immediately this had caught the azure haired girl’s attention.

A grey haired girl wielding an elegant sword came running towards the two students as she also slashed the fiends that were passing against her.

“Julia!” Yue then shouted as she and Seiryu went near the prefect of block A 2nd year.

“We need to go and protect the headmaster at all costs!” Julia replied.

“I’m afraid that these things have more high priorities than the headmaster.” Seiryu then said as he held on his katana.

“It’s standard operating procedure!” Julia tried to argue. “It says that we as prefects should see the safety of the headmaster and other important personnel at all costs from threats.” She added.

“Fuck SOP!” Seiryu shouted at her. “They’re only after one thing or rather one person and its Yue!” he said to her. “I can’t bear to let her out of my sight.” He added.

A black flash of darkness came rushing towards the three students bickering as what came out of the flash was none other the elegant rapier wielder. Lucian landed on his feet and stood up as he held a serious look on his face.

“He’s right Miss Julia.” Lucian said. “These fiends have more priorities than the headmaster.” He added.

“But…” Julia then said to them.

“The seniors will see to the headmaster’s safety. This is no time to try and be a hero.” Lucian said to her calmly with a smile. He turned to Seiryu afterwards. “Have you seen any of them?” he asked.

“A guy called Vrede appeared to us while we were talking on the rooftops.” Yue replied. “He was wearing the same grey cloak as Fraus was wearing before.” She said.

“He says that they have the academy surrounded.” Seiryu said to him.

“You got that right!” a voice said and they saw someone leap high up in the air holding what looked like a huge sharp boomerang blade. He landed on the ground as he ruffled his long pale blue hair which covered one of his eyes while his other eye which was gray in color was visible. He was wearing the same grey cloak as Vrede was indicating that he was a member of the Novemque Sentis.

He had an army of crystal fiends following him as well and with a gesture of his hand he managed to get them orderly arranged around the four Treyah students in front of him.

“The name’s Gewalt.” He said with a sinister smile on his face. He held on his weapon which was a sharp edged boomerang. Two tutuers dressed in Treyah’s school uniform tried to attack him but immediately he dispatched them with a single swing of his weapon. Gray spirit energy now surrounded him as he channeled it across his weapon.

“Look I’d love to stay and chat but the master says to keep you all busy at all costs.” Gewalt said as he snapped his fingers as the gray spirit energy around him began to distribute themselves among the crystal fiends. He disappeared afterwards but something was going on with the fiends he summoned.

The crystal fiends drew closer to one another as their gray spirit energy began to light up and compress themselves into one spot. It would seem that they are actually combining themselves as the size of the spirit light began to increase in size.
