Chapter 9 – A Beating
Yue was the first to wake up in her room as Fran was still asleep on her bed. She got up from where she was as she wore a white loose shirt and her pajama bottoms and she slipped on her slippers as she had opened the door and found herself in the hallway. She then noticed that Lucian was awake near the stairwell as he held on his rapier like he was examining it thoroughly.
“Hey.” The girl said as she smiled at the calm student.
“Good morning Miss Yue. I trust that you had a good night’s rest?” Lucian asked her as he returned the smile as well.
“Not really.” Yue said as she sighed a huge breath and her azure eyes had a look of worry in them.
“Seems like you’re worried about Seiryu.” Lucian said calmly. “Was this about the things you had learned about him from Sir Aizen?” he asked her.
“Yeah. I didn’t know that he was an orphan.” She replied to him.
“People have secrets, it’s only natural.” The calm student said as he looked at the chandelier in his house. “You’re worried that he didn’t come here to rest am I right?” he then said afterwards.
“He’s been pushing himself lately since that incident in the Tri Interschool Tournament.” Yue said as the smile on her face had faded. “I just hope he doesn’t do anything reckless.” She then added as she remembered the conversation that she had with the long haired student yesterday before they left Aizen’s shack.

Flashback (General POV)
Seiryu now held on his sheathed katana as he made his way to the huge tree stump in front of his master’s shack and sat down there to rest. His master made a deal with him and if he fulfills his part of the deal, then Aizen will train him with no qualms whatsoever. Melfice, Lucian and Fran were now trying to find the path to the exit as they got out of the shack as well while Yue got near the long haired student.
“Won’t you come home with us?” she then asked as her azure eyes looked at the long haired student right in front of her.
“No.” Seiryu then said in a focused manner. He wasn’t being cold to Yue but he just didn’t want to lose his focus.
“Will you be alright?” Yue then asked as a follow up.
“I’ll be fine ditz.” He replied to her as he stuck out a tongue at her like a child causing Yue to smile at him.
“All right. Just remember not to push yourself.” Yue then said as she now ran to her friends and all of them made their way to the entrance of the forest.
“Such a worrywart.” Seiryu then said out loud as he let out a faint smile and he went to sleep sitting down as he rested his back on the tree stump.

Seiryu then woke up as the sunshine had made it through the thick leaves of the trees and it directly hit him in the face causing him to rub his eyes to relieve the pain.
“Damn, of all the dreams I have had why does it have to be the conversation I had with Yue?” he thought to himself as he went near the sink which was available nearby the shack of his master.
He wet his hands and cupped it afterwards as he began to freshen up and wash his face. His katana never left his side as he was always prepared to draw it even at his master’s home.
