Eren and I. . . had practically done the same thing. . . The titan that killed his mother also loomed over himself and Mikasa. We'd both moved, me screaming and cutting the titans hand off and Eren yelling while punching the titans hand. . . It was about that time where all the titans decided to attack the two titans we'd hit. "W-What?" Jean stammered, not understanding what is happening. "This is our chance! Retreat!" I commanded, falling back into my role. My hand grasped Jeans and I took off running with him in two, him managing to keep up decently with my pace. Loud booming footsteps were coming this way, my eyes spotting Reiner running at us at full speed. Him now able to move without the weight of the other titans. "Don't come any closer! I'll kill you! And trust me, the last thing I want is for another one of my students to be dead." I yelled at them, the titans all of a sudden launching themselves at Reiner and Bertolt. Sasha brought over a horse for us and the two of us hopped up, me unable to even think about the motion sickness or the strain my body is under. I need to get everyone back safe, even if it is at the cost of my own life.

"It's okay Connie, just a little bit more." Jean said, trying to soothe his friend who is currently just happy to be alive. "Commander!" One of the scouts exclaimed, me rushing over to Erwin. . .His arm gone. "Erwin." I called to him, getting under his good arm. "Aoi. Don't push yourself. You are at your limit." He said to me in shallow breaths. I had fought a battle of a lifetime on the way back here, me having taken down several dozen titans down by myself. I have also been tending to the sick, giving people water, trying to get to everyone. But I can't let myself be tired, otherwise I will surely collapse. "Aoi, it's okay." Jeremiah said, coming up beside me and putting a hand on my back. "I can't leave him." I huffed, trying to haul Erwin up myself but my legs buckled; the men around me catching us both. "Aoi, I will be fine. Just listen to me carefully, alright?" He said, me nodding early and listening to his instructions.

"Did you wipe your feet before coming in?" I heard Eren ask. "Of course not, we have our hands full. Why would we care about that?" Jean demanded to know. "You still don't understand? Do you think this will satisfy Corporal Levi. If I hadn't made your bed for you this morning. . ." "Shut up! Are you my mother?" Jean yelled back, me chucking. It has been three days since the disaster and we have been relocated to a small house in the countryside. The scouts are moving things in and I would help them. . . But I can barely stand. Mikasa healed quickly, her helping along with the chores even though the boys protested. Erwin was the one who stationed me here, along with Jeremiah. He's out hunting I think, putting Mikasa is charge. "Aoi, how are you feeling?" Armin asked, suddenly appearing in front of me. "Tired still, but much better thank you." I replied, him covering me more with the blanket that is draped across me. I am running a fever, but refuse to be in bed. I want to see him. "You know, if he sees you hee I'm going to get blamed for it." Eren said, giving me a worried look. "You'll be fine titan boy." I assured him, Jean snickering. "Shut up horse face!" "Shut up both of you and let Aoi sleep." Mikasa said, coming in and pulii both boys away. "How about I make you some soup?" Armin asked, fixing my hair as he often had when we were children. "Hai. Arigatou" I thanked, closing my eyes and taking a deep inhale of the fresh air. I wish things were peaceful like this forever; like it used to be.

"Again?" Levi asked me, my feet scuffing the floor in nervousness. I am currently standing in the doorway of his dark bedroom, me having opened the door, but hesitating upon waking him up. It seems as if he'd awoken on his own though, him having stirred suddenly and then sitting up briskly, his eyes finding me quickly. "I would have gone to Jeremy, but you got mad last time." I said quietly, the man sighing audibly and waving me in. The candle in my hand shook as I entered, shutting the door behind me and setting the candle down on his night table. Levi shuffled back and let me slide in beside him. The two of us lying facing each other. "You've been having these dreams frequently." He said, his eyes watching me. "I know. I'm sorry." I apologized, closing my eyes and keeping myself from crying. It should be against work policy to crawl into your co-leaders bed, but in this world it isn't. I'm sixteen now, I would have entered the military at this age if I had gone through regular procedures. "Don't be. I told you I don't mind." He replied, pulling me closer and letting me nuzzle my head under his chin. "It happens more often when you are away for long periods of time, but... It's just that..." "Your friends might be at the training camp in a few days time." Levi said, as if reading my mind again. "I haven't hear or seen them since I was ten. Who knows if they made it..." I sighed, Levi stroking my hair gently. "Just sleep. I'll watch over you." I nodded, knowing that he really would. He'd never lie to me.
