"Are you ready to go?" Petra asked me, everyone standing behind me as I took one long lasting look at the house. I had taken a few things from the house, wanting to take them back to the headquarters with me. Things like pictures, a favorite stuffed animal of mine, some of my mother's jewelry. I had actually come across my fathers other blade while at the house, so now I have a matching set. It is made out of the same thing the first one is, I tested it by making Eren try to lift it; to which he failed. "I think so." I replied, turning and taking a step towards them. "Thank you sweetie." I stopped and turned back, looking at the more dismembered figures of my parents. My mother's arm is now missing, my fathers leg gone too, the baby's blanket soaked in blood. "Oka - San. . . Papa." I sighed, looking at the two of them with sad eyes. "It's okay. We'll be fine. Thank you, all of you for fixing what we had worked so hard for. Thank you, for the graves you made in our names." My father said, addressing everyone. I looked over my shoulder and saw the wide eyes of our entire group. "C-Can you guys. . .?"" Connie stammered, looking at my parents. "No way." Jean sighed, his eyes wide. "We don't have much time left in this world, but we wanted to thank the people who have helped our daughter become who she is today. We are forever in your debt." My mother said to them, smiling slightly. "We haven't been able to be there for her, and you've all done a good job at watching after her, so thank you. We will be able to leave peacefully, knowing that she has you." My father added, his face showing that he must be in pain. "It was no trouble." Levi told him, trying to put my fathers mind at rest. The blond man smiled slightly, motioning for Levi to come to him. Our Captain agreed, going over and bending down to listen carefully to what my father told him. I saw him hand Levi something small, something that Levi hid away in his pocket immediately. "No worries dear. He will tell you when he is ready." My mother said to me, pulling my attention away. I smiled at her gently and took what was left of her fading figure into my arms, hugging her and the baby tightly. "Thank you, for everything." I told her, stepping back as Levi gently took my arm in his hand, pulling me back to stand with the others. I couldn't help but give them a smile as they began to fade, waving to us with grins of their own. "T-that is. . . Surreal. . ." Eren said, his eyes wide in wonder. "I hope that they continue to watch over me like they have been." I sighed, bowing my head slightly and pressing my hands together in prayer. The others gave me a moment to pray. To wish the people that I hold dear to me a special little thanks. "Alright. I am ready." I said to them, turning towards the others and flashing them a smile. "Are you sure? We could spend a few more days. . ." Petra said carefully, making sure that she wasn't crossing a line. "It is fine. We still have some more training to do before the next exhibition. Erwin needs us to be ready." I replied, Levi getting up onto his horse and holding his hand down to me. I took it, letting him haul me up to sit behind him. I was curious though. . . Upon what my father had given to Levi and what in the world it signifies?
"Thank goodness you're back!" One of our members exclaimed as we entered the interior. "What is it?" Levi asked, getting down off the horse and helping me down. I was actually quite proud of myself, I had only gotten sick twice on the way back. "Hanji needs you right away." I jumped as I heard a loud distressed screaming noise, me running off immediately towards the sound. "Wait for us!" Connie exclaimed, the others following me on foot. "Excuse me! Please!" I cried, pushing through the villagers who are in the way. "Sony! Bean!" Zoe's distressed voice cried. I got through the crowd and rushed to the woman's side, taking her in my arms. "What happened?" I asked her, giving her a slight shake. "S-Someone. . . " She couldn't even finish the sentence as her sobbing cut her words off. I then decided to look behind her, seeing the already decomposing bodies of the titans. It seems that someone must have snuck in and sliced their necks, it is obvious that it must be someone with gear. There is no way that a civilian would have been able to do this. "Let's head back to camp. There's something we need to discuss." I said to everyone, helping Zoe up and leading her out of the tented area. Whoever did this, is going to be rather sorry. I won't tolerate this kind of behaviour.
