I nibble on the chicken as they spoke of sports. I spread dressing around my salad. I dug into it.

"So Nathaniel how's school going?" Luke ask him.

He look up at Luke as his cheeks were stuff. I chuckle and went back to nibbling on my food.

"It's going, just can't wait to graduate" he said.

"Do you know where you want to go after?" Luke ask him.

"I applied to Florida Gulf Coast, Eric Waters College-"

"You're going back?" Ashton ask him.

Nathaniel shrug. "Yeah so what and Cassidy's there I'm going to bring her back with me"

"No you're not" Chase said.

Tyler eyes widen as he look between Nathaniel and Chase.

"Guy's we'll discuss this when we get home" Tyler said.

"So Luke you know there's a Homecoming game between Hedgehogs and the Pit-bull next month" Nathan told him.

"Really? I haven't been to their game in a while Becca you never told me" Luke said.

I sigh as he look my way. "I don't really care about the school sports" I chew on the croutons.

"That's the best part of high school" Nathaniel said.

I roll my eyes. "No graduation is"

He bit into his chicken. "Whatever"

"Are you going to the homecoming dance as well?" Chase ask me.

I smile. "Nope and that's final Luke"

I chew on my salad as Luke groan.

"Come on it'll be fun and I bet Nicole would agree with me as well"

I scoff. "She would, but she's not here"

He fold his arms across his chest. "Fine, how about we make a deal?"

I sigh. "What is with you? If I don't want to go, I don't have to"

He sigh. "I just want you to have fun and hang out with Emily, come on this is your sophomore year"

I shook my head. "I'm not a sophomore anymore, they change my schedule since I did Night school last year I'm a junior now"

Luke grin. "That's great when were you going to tell me?"

I stab my salad with my fork. "I forgot"

"How could you forget something incredible like that?" Tyler exclaim.

"It's not incredible I still have one year left in that hell hole at least I'm in my right grade" I chew on my salad.

"Right grade? I thought... but you told-"

I face palm myself. How could I let that slip?

"You told me...why did-

I place my fork down and took a sip of water. "We'll discuss that later"

He frown and got up from his chair.

"Luke it's not that-"

He exit the dining room before I could say something. I groan.

I got up and walk quickly out the dining room. I walk into the kitchen and knock on his study door that was on the other side of the kitchen.

I wait till he said something. Minutes past.

I sigh and exit the kitchen. He needs space and I'll give him that. I grab my plate and his.

"Do you need help?" Nathaniel ask me.
