UNFASHIONABLY GEEKY

I woke up to the smell of eggs and freshly cooked bacon, to be frank it was something that I would love to wake up to everyday.

I looked through my morning eyes in blurry vision taking in my surroundings.

I noticed all the things that had once been in the coffee table had been swept off and scattered across the floor. I turned to my left and saw a shirtless boy sprawled out across the floor beside me.

Images of last night flooded into my mind, I couldn't help but blush at all the filthy things I said to him.

I took another moment to take in all that has happened between Hansel and I, then I realised..... If he wasn't cooking the bacon, who was?

Oh god, if it's my mom I would die of embarrassment. I made my way towards the kitchen and peered in to see what I was praying that I wouldn't, my mom cooking eggs and bacon and three plates on the table.

"Good morning sweetie. I see you and that boy lying shirtless on the floor had some fun." She said in her know-it-all mom tone.

It had just occoured to me that she had never met Hansel or let alone even known about him.

"Mom! Oh my goodness, it's not even what you think and also that shirtless boy is Hansel.. my boyfriend." I said looking down at my hands pretending their were intriguing. I knew as soon as I told my mom that I had a boyfriend she would be too excited to even describe.

"Honey, why didn't you tell me? You must tell me everything later on." I laughed at how much she was acting like a teenager.

I looked back into the living room, checking on Hansel, he was moving around. Breakfast was almost ready so I had to wake him up.

I sat beside him, he looked really adorable sleeping, I almost didn't want to wake him.... Almost.

I grabbed his cheeks and gave him a big wet sloppy kiss on his cheek, that ought to do the trick.

Quickly he sat up looking confused, and wiped his cheek that he had just realised was covered in my saliva.

I could not contain my laughter, he looked so confused. "You dribble." I said pretending that wasn't me.

"Oh, well that's has definitely got to turn a girl on." He laughed, looking slightly embarrassed, I couldnt help but feel a little bit guilty.

He tried to give me a kiss but I could feel my mom's eyes on us. I dodged his kiss and went to his ear. And whispered "my mom is here, she is watching us and she made breakfast for us..... I'll make up for that kiss later." I pulled back and gave him a cheeky wink.

Eventually we were all sitting down to eat, I was praying that this won't be too awkward.

"Hello ma'am I am Lance." He greeted very politely.... Obviously he didn't realise how cool and relaxed my mom is.

"Darling! No need for the formalities, call me Diane." She smiled.

"Ok then it's settled, I'll call you Diane." He smiled back probably trying to get in her good books.

I laughed silently at the funny sight in front of me. Lance was looking extremely nervous completely unaware of how relaxed my mom is about the situation.

Once breakfast was finished Lance and I excused ourselves. And we walked back to the living room.

"Wow, I didn't realise how much of a mess we made." I could tell he was thinking about last night because he seemed to have a pleased smile on his face.

"I know! We better clean this up." I laughed as my voice snapped him back into reality.
