Chapter 22

UNFASHIONABLY GEEKY

Lances POV

I stood out the front of Kerina's door for a few minutes after she had closed it.

I think I am just as shocked as she is, I don't even know which one of us leaned in for the kiss.

I thought for a moment processing all the information Kerina had just given to me, it makes a lot of sense that Chloe would do this to her.

And also why she couldn't remember the face and any of what happened, because Chloe always spiked her drinks.

I could feel her eyes burning into mine, which snapped me back into reality. I suddenly felt an urge to comfort her, she looked so worried. "Everything will eventually work out, Kerina, just give it some time."

Without thinking I placed my hand on the small of her back and pulled her towards me. Lightly I brushed my lips across her forehead and planted a soft kiss.

I watched in silence and she breathed slowly, and she looked back up at me. Suddenly I felt her lips brush against mine slightly, I took in a sharp breath of air.

Without even thinking my hand on her back slid down lower.

Seconds later our lips found eachothers, and we shared a slow romantic kiss.

Immediately I could feel her body relax into mine, there was no thought to the kiss and momentarily I forgot why this kiss shouldn't have happened.

But that didn't last long until a loud sound buzzed from Kerinas phone. Quickly we pulled away from each other.

After getting ready for school, I jumped in my car and drove to school. I honestly can't believe I did that, that couldn't have happened. It shouldn't have happen.

Quickly I pulled up at school, parked my car and walk through the gates. I have to get this off my mind.... I don't care how.

Swiftly I grabbed the nearest girl from the Ivys clique and pulled her with me into the janitors closet.

Kerina's POV

I sat in English class pretending to look interested in what my teacher was saying, but I couldn't even concentrate for the life of me.

The only thing I could think about was what happened between Lance and I. And I'm pretty sure Lance is struggling to comprehend what happened between or a us or avoiding me, because he isn't in class.

Finally the bell rang and I was able to escape the classroom. In fact I'm not in the mood to deal with school today.

I have to go, I can't be here.

Skillfully I left school and jumped in my car and started driving.

An hour or so later I found myself at the beach where I went with Hansel and the other populars.

I have so many things on my mind, I can barely concentrate. I walked down to the sand, taking of my shoes so they don't get ruined.

I let my feet sink into the sand and I took in a deep breath of fresh air. I looked over to my left and a meter or so from me there was a cigarette packet laying on the sand.

I looked away quickly, there were many things I used to do, smoking was included. Giving up smoking was probably one of the hardest things I had to do.

Do I miss it sometimes? Yes.

Do I miss how guys used to beg even for one kiss? Yes.

Do I miss the high of the alcohol and drugs? Sometimes.

I continued to walk forward so that my feet were being covered by the water.

I closed my eyes and breathed in another deep breath of the fresh air.

Lance's POV

Once I was finished with that girl, I soon realised that it wasn't enough to erase what happened from my mind.

Class was already in motion so I can't come into class late if I want to avoid a detention, I made my escape from school and found myself driving to the nearest bar.

Of course I have a fake ID so I have no trouble getting in.

And I find myself drowning my confusion in my new best friend, vodka.

After drinking 3/4 of the bottle, 4 girls had already come up to me, sending me flirtatious winks and smiles.

I take my pick and leave with a tall brunette by my side.

Kerinas POV

I stayed at the beach for hours, watching the waves roll into the sand and the cool fresh air blowing onto me on this humid day.

I sat for a few moments later and decided to eventually get up. As I walked up to the car park, I glanced at the cigarette packet.

"One couldnt hurt could it?" I found myself saying outloud.

Without rethinking what I was about to do I grabbed the packet and took out a cigarette.

"Need a light?" I heard a familiar voice say.

I turned around and saw Chloe standing a few meters away from me.

Dun dun daaaaaa. Wow who would've though Kerina was one to smoke... Actually it was kind of a given.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to add this in the book right now because of all the drama that is already happening.... But I did, oh well!

Also thank so much for 500 reads! Wow I couldn't of even thought I'd get that many!

Also I added a character in for Dylan. I realised I didn't have anything for him he is now played by 'Taron Egerton'
