**Don't judge me and my indecisive ass mind lol. Just take this chapter and accept it. I had this chapter prewritten back in August, before I decided to discontinue the book. But I'm feeling good; and I really owe y'all. (Even though I said I'm done with this book lol). Who knows, I might have 'more' prewritten chapters I need to publish 😉

I hope you all enjoy it! Comment & vote =)

Kourtney

"Are you sure you don't want me to just stay in and watch Kam?" I asked Mama Sheila.

"No baybeh, you fine. You gon' on and have some fun tonight. You need it."

I smiled and agreed. "Your right. Thanks mama."

She fanned me off. "Girl don't be thankin' me for watchin' my own gran' child. Don't tell the girls this but, Kamryn is my favorite." She spoke the last part in a whisper, thought nobody was around to hear us.

I laughed at her statement. "Really? Why?"

"Cause, she can't talk! That damn Kay Kay need a job as news reporter when she old enough." She joked.

We both chuckled. "Alright Kourtney, I'm gonna head on out now."

"Okay." I gave Kam a million kisses before I handed her over to Mama. "Have fun baby girl. I'm gonna miss you Kammy-Kam." Kamryn giggled ferociously, hearing her pet name.

We said our goodbyes and I closed the door behind them. I headed back upstairs to finish getting ready for tonight. I had showered before Kamryn was picked up, so all I had left was to get dressed and do my makeup. August has been in the shower.

. .

"August, I'm ready!" I shouted into the bathroom, hoping he would come out sometime soon.

I swear he gets dressed like a girl sometimes. He tries on every shirt, then every pants just to pair it with his gazillion and one pairs of Jordan's. Imagine, he has only part of his wardrobe at the condo and the other half is here in the house.

A minute later, he came out of the bathroom fully dressed.

"About time." I mumbled.

"Don't be talkin' shit na'." He smirked as he smoothed out the sleeve of his button up.

I playfully rolled my eyes and fought off the urge to smile. I applied some pink tinted lip gloss to my lips in the mirror. "You look really nice August."

He walked his way over to me and stood behind me; wrapping his arms around my waist and stomach area. "And you look beautiful baybeh." He removed my hair from off of my shoulder and placed a light kiss onto my neck.

I blushed as I turned in his arms. "Thanks. But where are we going anyway?"

"Don't worry, I promise you'a like it."

"The last time you surprised me, we ended up in New Orleans at your Mama's door step."

He began to chuckle, "Yea I rememba' that, that day was sumn' else."

It's safe to say, August and I are in a better space. We're not together, but I've entertained the thought of us possibly being together again. I will admit, he's made steps towards being a better person and he's definitely trying to win me back.

"C'mon, we gon' be late." He removed his arms from around me and guided me downstairs toward the front door.

He helped me into the car and got in himself.
