Kourtney
This past week with Aug and I was amazing. California was great. I was able to connect with him on a level I've NEVER imagined. It's kinda scary how we both admitted to love. I was caught in the moment when I said it.. But dammit, it was the truth.
After we left Cali, I put that Krystal chic in the back of my head. Besides, what are the odds of seeing her in Atlanta anyways? She's all the way in the other side of the country.
We are back in hot ass Atlanta. I'm home, of course, while August is at the studio. I'm just here watching tv and eating ice cream. It's about 3 in the afternoon, and I have nothing else to do right now. At least until August comes over later.
Interrupting my thoughts, I heard a knock on my door. I wasn't expecting anybody so I was kind of hesitant getting up to answer it. I walked up to my door and decided to open it when I heard them knock again.
I saw a man probably about in his late 40's stand before me. He was tall and well dressed for and older guy. He was also handsome.
"Hi, Can I help you?" I asked. Looking this man up and down.
The guy had a look on his face I can't really explain. as if he wanted to say something but couldn't. The hesitation was written all over.
He let out a big sigh before saying, "I'm sorry young lady, I can't do this." He turned around and began walking away. I stood there for a second, mostly due to confusion and shock. I quickly snapped out of my gaze and called after him.
"Hey!" I yelled.
He turned around and looked back at me. His facial expression was soft.
"Come back." I said.
He then began walking back up to my door. He looked as if he was nervous and lost his best friend. I kinda felt bad for the poor guy and a bit curious behind the reasoning of his arrival.
"H-hey.. Umm, are you Kourtney Sommers?" He asked, nervously.
"It depends." I answered, not sure if I should reveal my identity to this man. He could be a murderer for all I know. "Who wants to know and who's she to you ?" I spoke again.
He made direct eye contact with me, making me now nervous.
"Kourtney Sommers is my daughter. I'm her father, Gary Sommers." The man said.
I stood there quiet. Frozen. Trying to process what I think I just heard. My heart began to beat fast and I felt tears welling up in my eyes...

"Aye E, I think das' it man. I think we finally got dat shit", I yelled to my producer Ethan from the booth. He been rockin' with me for the past year of my career.
"Aight man. Get outchea nigga so we can play it back"
I took off my headphones and headed out the booth and sat on the couch. E was sittin' at tha' sound board, still mixin' and tweaking my song to perfection. A couple seconds later, He took off his headphones and turned his chair to me. "Yea man, I think thas' it bra'".
He played back 'Grindin'.
I pulled a pre-rolled blunt from behind my ears, and lit it. We both bobbed our heads as I listened keenly for any imperfections or mistakes.
