Kourtney

After giving birth, I've been trying my best to keep my body in shape and getting back to how I looked before my pregnancy. So I decided since Kam is with Gary today, I'd go spend some time at the gym.

I've been here for the past hour and a half, running on the treadmill, giving myself a total work out. I grew extremely tired, so I figured I'd call it quits. I stopped the machine and got off, my legs feeling like noodles. I grabbed my water bottle and gulped down the water in it.

I felt gross, drenched in sweat, so I took my towel and began trying to dry my sweaty face and chest. I looked up in the mirror to see the gym beginning to crowd up, so I needed to hurry up and leave. In the reflection of the mirror, my eyes made four with a familiar face.

Once his eyes locked with mine, he semi-smiled and got off his exercise equipment. I blushed and continued drying my body from the sweat I produced during the last hour. When we met in the past, it wasn't for more than 5 minutes. But I remember him vividly.

As I gathered my things to leave, I turned around and bumped into him. I felt the butterflies in my stomach taking flight, not understanding why.

"I never thought I'd see you again." He stated, smirking

I smiled shyly, while taking in his appearance. "What are the odds, seeing you out here?"

"I'm a musician, your liable to see me anywhere. I never got your name when we was in LA."

"It's Kourtney."

"Kourtney, I like it." He smiled while licking his lips.

"And I think the whole world knows your name."

"They know Kid Ink, but I want you to get to know Brian."

"Who says I wanna get to know you?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Because you do. That's why your standing here talking to me, ain't it? And that's why you agreed to go hang out with me today. Maybe lunch?"

"Oh no, I can't. I'm not prepared." I looked myself over at my sweaty, gym attire.

"You don't need to be. You look fine to me."

"There's no way I'm going anywhere like this. I have to change out of these clothes."

"Ah, so that means you are gonna go out with me." He smiled.

I playfully rolled my eyes, "Whatever. Where am I meeting you?"

"Not sure, I still gotta figure it out. I feel like you might be hard to impress."

"Actually I'm not, I live by simplicity. I'm not one for the extravagance. So a simple diner or bistro is cool with me."

"They damn sure don't make em' like you anymore." He smiled. "I'll text you in an hour and half to let you know where to meet me."

"Ok, that's fine." I shyly replied.

"Aight, see you in a little bit, beautiful."

We exchanged numbers, and I waved goodbye.

Once he cleared from my presence, I spun around and walked the opposite direction. I parked in the back of the gym so I exited through the rare entrance.

I hopped in my car and sped home.

Once I got inside, I didn't hesitate to hop in the shower. I washed my body with my favorite body wash that had a berry fragrance. The one August loves.
