..
"Someone's at the door!" I yell from upstairs, seeing as I'm in nothing but a towel from my shower.
I hear no answer so I quickly put on a long t-shirt, and hike down the stairs. "I'm coming!" I say as the pounding on the door becomes louder and harder.
"Adeline. Hey.." Luke drags, looking me up and down, smirking.
I feel my cheeks flush in embarrassment. "Go home, Luke."
"No. I told you, you were going to hang out with me today, so here I am."
"No you asked me and I didn't respond. In case you cant take a hint, that meant no. I'm not hanging out with you. I'm not meeting your friends. Why do you even what to hang out with me? I'm a dork, remember?"
Luke tilts his head. "Well if you were a dork, I wouldn't know. Come and hang out with me and I'll determine your fate." He tries to make a joke, but I don't find it too funny.
I know he remembers me. He called me Anderson last night. That's what he used to call me when he was looking for trouble. I shake my head, about to object again when mum comes outside. "Hi Luke. What are you up to?"
"Trying to get Addy here to hang out with me." He chuckles, looking darkly into my eyes.
"Adeline, go. Make friends." She pushes me out of the doorframe, murmuring, "Lord knows you need 'em."
"Hey Anderson. Put some clothes on." Luke whispers, bending down to be close to my ear.
There he goes again with Anderson. I know he knows me. I groan as I reluctantly do as I'm told.

"And Adeline, this is Ashton." Luke introduces all his friends to me. Its not like I haven't met them before, I just never knew their names.
"So do you guys remember me?" I ask them.
"Nope." Michael answers a little too quickly which earns him a glare from Luke.
I smirk a little, hoping I've made some progress. "Kay, then where did you go to school?"
"Northwest Christian-"
Luke chimes in, cutting Calum off. "Anyways , you want pizza? I think we have some in the fridge."
"I do. I'm hungry!" The three boys call.
"I was asking Addy." Luke says through gritted teeth.
"No. I want to go home." I get up and head to the door. Luke makes a beam line for the door, pressing his tall frame in the doorway. "Luke move."
"Or what?" He taunts, reminding me of high school.
I then realize I cant do anything. I'm not strong enough to fight him, and even if I tried, he'd make it seem like it was my fault. He could turn my family against me, and he knows that. I whimper and back down, roughly plopping down on the sofa. "I know you remember me." I mumble. That's the last thing I remember saying for the night.
