...

Luke didn't come back that night after he told my family the truth. In fact, I haven't seen him in two weeks. I was doing better than I though, knowing that he was truly sorry for what he did to me was enough to get me out of bed every morning. Mostly I would just wake up hoping I would get to see him.

My family hasn't been doing much family activities here lately either. We've been doing inside family activities instead of the hands on things we normally do. I haven't seen the Hemmings family in a while now that I think about it. Actually, I haven't even seen anybody from over at that house in a while.

I yawn and unravel myself from my warm duvet, raising up to be faced with the same stuffed penguin that I've been waking up to everyday. I wished it was Luke's face that I'd be waking up to, but I've grown to cope with it. Not really.

I groan and make my way to my bathroom, splashing my face with water instead of taking a shower. I chuck on some clothes, and just as I'm about to walk downstairs, I catch a horrifying sight: A moving truck next door.

It looked just like it did when he was moving in. The same scenery. Same weather. Except this time, I knew what was knew what was happening.

I quickly rush down the stairs to find the whole Hemmings family in my lounge. "Honey I wish it didn't have to be this way." Liz tells me as soon as she sees my face.

"Wh-what's going on?" I stammer, looking into Luke's saddened eyes.

"We've all decided that it would be best if we leave you guys. After what you've been through, its the least we can do." She says.

"No. No you don't understand. With all due respect, Liz, where was I when this decision making process was happening?"

"We just thought that you'd want this more than anybody. We didn't think we needed to consult you." Liz shrugs.

I shake my head, looking for Luke, but I don't find him. I sigh and exit the house, across the yard to my destination. "Luke?" I call.

"I'm right here." He speaks from behind me, water in the rim of his eyes.

I turn around to find him inside the empty house, collapsed on the floor, staring at the blank wall ahead of him. "Why do you have to go?"

"Our family thinks that it's best if we move away. They think it will give you closer if I leave."

"But it won't." I whisper. A single tear falling from my eye.

"Maybe it will. Your family hates me know. Not to mention my own family. You should hate me too. What I did to you is unforgiveable. I don't deserve redemption."

"I love you, Luke."

"I love you more than you'll ever know." He whispers, bringing my face closer to him.

The sparks fly all over again as our lips touch for the last time. It all ends too quickly. "Where are you going to go?" I whisper, not finding my voice to talk.

"My brother is letting us move in with him until we can get back on our feet. We'll be far away from you, don't worry."

"Luke, I don't want you to go." I cry.

He stands up and runs his hands through is tall hair. "I don't want to go either." He sighs and speaks again. "I lied."

"What?" I ask, standing up to get a better look at his face.

"We won't be that far away." He lightly laughs. "Our parents don't want us to be together, but that's not going to stop me from seeing you. In a weeks time, we should be moved in to our new house. Keep your window open next week. I promise I'll be there. I love you Addy."

"I love you too, Luke. We-"

I get interrupted by Caleb. "Uh guys, our parents are looking for you. You better separate before you get caught." He nods and soon disappears.

"Don't cry." Luke whispers, just as a tear rolls down his cheek.

"Then you can't either." I giggle. "In a weeks time." I nod.

"A weeks time." He promises again.

I sigh and turn around sneaking my way back to my house. "Bye honey. I'm sorry for everything." Liz sniffles, pulling me into a hug.

"You don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong." I tell her, but we're thinking about two different subjects.

Andrew nods to me but doesn't say a word. I sigh and nod back to him. I stand on my porch as I watch everyone file into the large moving truck. They all wave us bye except for Luke. He walks with his head down as he jumps into the truck. I don't realize I'm crying until Shelby tightly hugs me tightly, watching the truck get smaller and smaller down the road. "I love him." I whisper more to myself than to her, but she replies anyways.

"I know you do." Shelby soothes, rubbing my back for comfort.

I'll be waiting Luke. One week time. In one week you'll be back for me. Weather it's in secret or not, I need to have you. I want you here with me so I don't have to wake up to a stuffed animal that smells like you, but wake up to you, and only you. So I'll wait. And wait. And wait..
