...

My heart pounds so hard that I can feel the thumping in my ears. "What'd you mean she won't wake up?!" I yell.

"Exactly what the fuck I'm saying, Luke! She won't wake up!" Shelby cries.

"Okay, okay were is she?" I sternly asks, trying to remain calm. Shelby takes off jogging in the direction of the house, leading me up to her bedroom.

My limbs go numb as I see her lifeless looking body on the bathroom floor. Quickly, I reach down, checking her pulse. I breath out a little in relief. "She's alive. Call 911." I don't look behind me, but I hear her run off.

~xx~

"What happened?" The paramedic asks, whilst riding in the back of the ambulance.

"I-I dunno. Shelby, her sister, came over to my house and told me that she wouldn't wake up."

"Was there anything that indicated it could've been and attempt suicide?"

I think back looking all around, but, "No. Nothing."

"What's your relation to her?"

"Uh.. we live next to each other." My stomach churns. I couldn't call her my friend because she hated my guts, and I most definitely couldn't call her my girlfriend.

30 minutes later, we arrive at the hospital, but they wouldn't let me back there with her being they were running test. "Luke! Luke! What happened to my baby?" Rose rushes in, dried tears on her cheeks.

I shrug. "I wish I knew. Shelby found her."

Rose gasps as Marcus wraps her in a hug. "She's okay though, right?" Caleb wonders.

"Yeah, mate. For now everything's fine, that's if they don't find anything wrong." I sigh, taking a seat.

"Anderson?" A nurse calls from the door. Rose jumps to attention. "I'm her mother." the nurse calmly smiles. Leading us to her room.

"So we didn't find anything terribly wrong. Her heart rate is high, as well as her blood pressure. Seems like she had a panic of some sort. Does she have those often?"

"She had them a lot in high school, but they stopped until now I guess." Rose informs not only the nurse, but me too. I swallow the lump in my throat knowing that I caused those panic attacks, and I'm probably causing them again. What have I done?
