I went into the darkness.
Now, the place to go to was the CAM 6 area, the door to the nuclear plant. The GPS says that it was close to that weird corridor I entered through earlier.
Alright... down the stairs, left turn, right turn, and...
THUMP!
A low, metallic sound coming from behind.
THUMP!
I instantly tiptoed forward as fast as I could, cutting corners so that he wouldn't see me in front of him. If he had any line of sight, it's over.
"By the way, I suggest you thank Nightshade,"
"Why?" I whispered.
"She was monitoring your feed. That shadow was her manipulating the wall's reflection so that you could see Spartan coming up. He would have definitely caught you if she didn't intervene,"
"Wow... that's a lot of luck for me. I'll send her a thank you card if I make it,"
As I kept moving, the sound thankfully started to fade. I cut the next corner, then I finally came across the door.
The descent to the battlefield.
I walked down a very long flight of stairs. It made sense, because the level was even lower than the basement. I can't believe that a literal nuclear powerplant would have to be used to finish him. Like, I never saw something like that in Ninjago, but I did see one of those crazy bombs and that was some crazy damage.
"You're heading down below the main grid. The plant hasn't been used in 30 years, so wait a little,"
Now that I think about it now, Spartan's pretty darn strong. The executive status now felt like it exponentiated in weight. To destroy his core, I needed the world's second most powerful nuclear reactor. Oh, and "destroy his core" doesn't necessarily mean to defeat him.
He could just be some crazy martial artist behind that armor. Things make no sense here; expecting the unexpected is one of the greatest superpowers you can have.
Finally, the long stairwell ended and I found myself in the same room where Mark captured me a few days ago.
"Follow my coordinates, and you'll open up the plant,"
I sprinted towards the coordinates and came across a giant door framed by red warning lights. There was some sort of scanner, and I didn't have to do anything as the door opened up right before me.
"Wow..."
It looked so potent. Like, the room was green in color with a towering white structure in the center - the nuclear reactor itself. I can feel the heat of the room going off, like some sort of protective barrier that blocked me from entering.
"Your suit's entering 'hazmat mode.' If you go in right now, you'll die of intoxication in 3 minutes. Wait for a bit,"
Yeah, good thing I didn't go in. I mean, there was a barrier, but it's not like I could have fought the discomfort and walked through it.
"Mind walking through me through that second part again?"
"There's an ultra-zapper in the main chapter. It's a wired supercharger that'll supply 70% of the charge. You'll supply the last 30% when you charge it manually with your lightning. I've started the process, but you'll need to wait for 10 minutes until it's ready,"
"What if I use absorption?"
"You'll disintegrate into pieces and accomplish absolutely nothing. It's a very faulty fighting technique,"
