Part 37 - 8/10?!

I was standing in the street, or actually, whatever remained of it.

The ground was very cracked, and I felt very cold. It was raining heavily and a lot of the houses were destroyed. It was like The Vipers achieved their goals. This is what this neighborhood would look like after all if they did.

All of a sudden, the sky cracked open and an entire ocean of water came down, filling up everything.

I tried to swim up, but there was no ceiling. Only this vast, endless ocean.

I kept breathing frantically, except that too was stopping because I was drowning. I can't go on for much longer.

I looked around. All the rubble was now moving away from me and disappearing from sight. I nearly collided with a mailbox, but swerved left just in time.

It was now just me in the ocean by myself.

"You've only felt the brink of what we will do. We told you, you will be begging for us to put you back in that desert,"

I couldn't respond, but I did know where the source of the voice was.

I looked up and found myself face-to-face with that squid-like creature, the executive ranked 4th in The Vipers.

Mr. Kalmaris Morrow.

In is right hand was a glowing trident.

His yellow and green eyes locked in to mine.

He slowly raised his hand.

"We are watching you," he whispered. "You should have stayed in that desert, yet you came here. You will suffer more than you could ever think of,"

The trident's edge sparked once, sending a blast that hit me.

Suddenly, I couldn't feel anymore and got met with light.

"Ahhh!"

That was one hell of a dream. I want a more fun dream... these types of dreams are annoying. This probably happened because I was scared of whoever the fighter ranked 4th was.

The house was also dead silent. The fridge was unplugged; I guess Emily came in and defrosted it. All I could hear was my own breath. It felt like someone was watching me this whole time, not that it's false.

Still, that was an annoying dream. If I got sleep paralysis after this dream, that would suck even more.

Okay, yeah, that sucked...

Luckily, I won't be seeing Mr. Kalmaris Morrow, if that's who he was for a while. Even if this neighborhood isn't part of The Sanction, it is considerably better than it.

I checked my phone and saw a message from Emily at 3:14 A.M.

One new message... looks like she didn't leave me on read.

"That's what he's known as. No, he wasn't experimented on; he's from somewhere else and so is the fighter ranked 3rd. If either of them come back, check the document attached to this message. There's a hidden secret camera at the front door of my house; I'd check that if anyone knocks on the doorbell,"

Wow... so their executives are from other realms?

It's no wonder they're so powerful and... so weird. I wonder what their ranked 3rd fighter looks like.

Come to think of it, I should just read the second document that Synergy wrote. The first one was already overwhelming, knowing what he was going to do, but if I didn't read it, I would still lose.
