Giving them my luggage and TSA didn't take too long. There was a horde behind me, so I guess I got lucky I went fast.

After a bit more of a walk, I was finally at my gate, 30 minutes early. The plane before me seemed much smaller, and with different colors. Also a different brand name. I'm going to a different place after all, so it does figure indeed. It does look longer than the old one though, so I guess a weird variant or something?

This time, I made a list of what to do for the flight.

One, I would pay to watch movie in those quality headphones. I also paid for first class, which seems to be much more comfy than the other classes. There are some cool movies I wanted to watch as well... anything else? Oh, also make sure my seat is the closest to the bathroom.

Nice! Now I'm going to write that on the notes app of my phone and-

Huh? A missed call from The Swordsman?

We haven't talked in forever. Now is a good time to talk to him.

"Hello, Jay,"

"What's up?! Long time no see,"

"I heard you and Mark took down Spartan. Sorry for your loss. I'm sure Mark was a great soul and will rest in heaven,"

"Me too, he deserves it,"

"So... how've you been holding up,"

"Just intel mainly. I learned a new thing I could use, but it's more of a clutch sort of thing, if you understand what I'm saying. I did get stronger, but we're equal at best. His main power is his intelligence, not his strength. So, that's what I've been working to counter,"

"Yeah, that's fair... it's kind of how I won my main battles as well. I used my brain, well, the emotional side, rather than my lightning. It's a real game-changer, you know,"

"Oh yeah, tell me more? As long as you didn't chicken out,"

"Oh, please... like that's bad. But I was fighting this guy called Unagami, this boss inside of a videogame. He cubed my  team, and I was the last person standing. There was no way I could beat him using my powers, so I talked him out of it. Turns out, he was abandoned by his creator just like how I was abandoned by my birth parents, so I helped him move past it. And it's not like moving on, because I reunited him with Milton Dyer, his creator! Now he's a happy guy living with his 'parent' and hopefully, didn't find any reason to become a bad guy again,"

"Huh... using words can really help? Unagami is one hell of a guy, but I'm afraid ReTrace isn't like that. See, he's evil, and intelligent. He schemes a lot and is built on the insecurities of other people. He doesn't have any powers, but he did master a martial art I don't know about. But, again, he is known for his brain, not brawn. And I think he's past his issues,"

He sounds similar to someone else... their ranked 3rd fighter. But, he's gone, but if they really were similar, then they must have been good friends or intense rivals. There's no way he's actually Nadakhan, because its confirmed that Nadakhan was ranked 3rd.

Synergy, that idiot, recruited him, and ReTrace should have existed before him - just to turn on them and become good. At least no twists will happen now.

"Maybe you have some other villain like him you fought? I'm sure that could help?"

I hesitated for a bit before answering. "Yeah, I do..."

"Boarding group A, please come in and board,"

"Already?"

"Just update me later. I look forward to seeing you again, Jay!"
