My feet hit solid ground, so that's a good thing.

For the bad thing, my head hurts and I'm feeling a little nauseous, but it'll recover. Definitely much better than being stuck in the hell I was in.

Now, where am I?

...

I opened my eyes and found myself in a dimly lit alleyway. Every object was recognizable and it was normal, as in nothing looked weird. For a bonus, the air felt much cleaner than it was in The Desert of Doom.

There were a bunch of buildings around me with a streetlight. A trash can was to my right. There was also a bunch of trash around me as well; I think littering is a thing here.

I could hear cars moving, some people talking, and some music behind me.

I turned around and walked to the source of the sound, leaning against the wall for support.

When I emerged from the alley, I froze in place.

...

...

I was in a city.

City is an understatement... I was in a massive city. It stretched as far as I could see. Skyscrapers were literally everywhere and streets bustled with people. Yes, people... not giant, dwarfs, or serpentine. Also, I could occasionally see planes flying in the sky, but their designs looked weird.

This was and wasn't like Ninjago City. Sure, we had tall buildings back home and "normal" people as well, but they didn't seem to have serpentine or different creatures. Actually, there might be different creatures, but this city was much more bigger and advanced than Ninjago City, especially through the buildings and cars. Not to mention, there were those weird looking planes that were much bigger than the planes in Ninjago.

The thing is, this place felt alive in a way I couldn't put into words. Aside from the planes looking different, the vibe felt very different. Honestly, this is probably because it's the first time I've stepped into a city after so long. I'd probably feel the same way if this was Ninjago City.

...

"Hey, you good?"

"A-aah!"

...

I spun around and found a man behind me. He was wearing a plain white T-shirt. Boy, I could say his brown hair looked like a mess, so much that it covered one of his eyes. His clothes also seemed a little worn.

"W-wh-at?"

"You seem lost, my friend,"

...

So, they spoke English here too? I mean, I probably would have noticed earlier, but I was paying attention to the city and its surroundings. I only saw what the people looked like, not what they were saying.

I don't know how to respond.

"Well, are you gonna say something?"

"I'm... I'm new here," I replied cautiously. "Umm, I... I want to be a... alone right n... now."
